Well, without any trust or posts, I'm going to try.

While this isn't the first time i've been on these forums, this is my first time actually registering for an account; the reason being to try and quit Runescape (for WoW lol) and sell my main, without getting scammed out of my account.

While I mentioned that I'm not new to these forums, I'm still a bit unsure about the selling process. Any help or tips on that would be much appreciated :laugh: ​

Post a thread in the appropriate section with your account information (pictures of stats, etc). When you find a buyer and discuss the details then you find an official middle man to assist you in the trade. From there you both deal with the middle man and complete the trade.

 

Thank for the info ^^ Already had the appropriate screenies ready, though I still don't know how exactly the Middle Man thing works, any explanation on that?

 

Both parties give the items they are trading to the MM, then the MM gives the respective parties the items.

 

Thats basically it,Most official MM's do charge though so If you dont have cash to spend on that you can find tons of trusted free ones in the middleman section.

 

You're better off most of the time getting a hold of a non-official MM. Nothing against OMM's, just they're expensive and usually hard to get hold of.

Personally though, I'd do a background search on some of the MM's, especially when other traders bring the MM in (always run the risk of it being their friend and it being a team scam).

Good luck out there and just remember, if a deal seems too good to be true, it most likely is.

Also, be careful when accepting paypal as a payment. It is extremely risky to accept it.
