Botting on a VPS Purchased from HostGator

Anybody know how to do it?

 

I know how to, you need to first download and install a GUI like gnome, then install Java and VNC, then connect

Host gator is quite expensive per month is it not? o.o why not use something like froogooscape's VPS service for $15 a month, lower HD space but 100mb/s speed and 1 gig of ram. I'm looking to do the same thing, so anything posted will not only help Jimmy but will also help me as well.

 

if you want to BUY the service just pay for it they'll probably email you login info, if setting one up, for one user use VNC (windows works, but linux is better, ubuntu-whatever you have). Multiple people, i know if you use micosoft server using the some of the nuilt in tools is easy to setup, and you can add a bunch of accounts, just going to need the bandwith

 

Ok, I'll make a quick guide for Ubuntu VPS.

First, you need to get the VPS with 512 ram...
Second, you need to SSH it with root access
Third, use this command "apt-get update upgrade"
Fourth, install GUI with "apt-get install ubuntu-desktop"
Fifth, install VNC server with "apt-get install tightvncserver"
Sixth, start VNC with "vncserver -geometry 1024x768 -depth 24 :5900"

You can now connect to the VPS via VNC with port 5900...
Install Java, JDK etc and enjoy

EDIT: VPS's are also cheaper on www.burst.net. A 1GB ram one is like 9.50$

 

easiest is to use Debian and use the tutorial on Rsbot.org Computer then a sticky by jump jacob

 

I/O of HDD in BurstNET sucks... performance is not the best. I wouldn't suggest them.

Currently have used burst.net vps for month, just purchased other. For rsbotting it's been great. No downtimes or anything. Have done up to 4day proggys.
