Not sure if this is the right forum, but has anyone had this happen?

Paypal just called me and asked me about transactions(I paid someone to do questing and someone else to do skilling, so 2 different transactions with 2 different emails).....and then he was like that's all I need, and hung up?

Are they gonna freeze my account or some shit?

 

Because they called me about 10 minutes after I paid for something and asked me about it.
I just want to know if they were just checking in or what.

 

They don't have any reason to freeze your account.

 

That's what I figured, but the guy sounded really suspicious like he didn't believe me.

 

As long as you didn't recover the money you should be fine.

No I don't think so and if they do ask why they are asking.

Around 30 or 40 in all.
The only reason I can see for them to call is the verify it with me, I had to send as gift so if I sent to 2 different people in different parts of the country obviously that looks fishy but still.

cause those emails may have been related with some fishy activity recently and they wanted to make sure it was you sending money.

 

They can freeze your account whenever they
want, for any reason they please.

 

You know, I thought of that too, minus the part about the fishy emails. But I don't want them calling to check up on me every 5 minutes, hopefully they can just look at the IP next time to be sure it's me.

 

yah they shouldn't be calling. but im guessing that they can do anything they want with your account pretty much lol.

 

I had something similar happen when i was selling a ton of shit. I thought it was someone trying to steal personal information to be honest.

 

This isn't the right section but I'll help you anyway.

They were most likely confirming it was actually you making the purchase. You could of made a lot of purchases this week or something and they were getting suspicious, that gives them grounds to call you. Nothing to worry about, routine thing for PayPal to do.
