To jagex from the RS community

I think, people need to learn to move on from a game if they lose 'hope' in it and maybe branch out and enjoy life.

Have been a player since 2002, not going to deny that i miss the communitys runescape used to have, but they wont listen to a poorly made video and they won't at all care for your spam attempts on the Runescape Forums in September, even ingame.

The way to, approach them is not by going to Jmods, as they don't have any power, the investers hold all the cards, if they see an increased drop in memberships.. then and only then will they listen to what the community wants. And in this current game drama which includes a shit ton of bots, memberships will never drastically decrease as more and more are made each day.

Watching that video, really made me miss the old runescape :'(

 

Missed the old runescape however that's like my 5th time seeing someone put this video up lol

 

Unfortunately known RuneScape commentators such as Bonesaw Pk and ChrisArchie have spoken out about this issue.

I'm sure Jagex have noticed and I'm positive they've taken it all under consideration.

It's pretty much useless (other then to inspire the current RuneScape community) to create more of these videos depicting the same notion of 'bringing back the old days'.

Good effort though.

 

I miss the old days too. Tbh removing the grand exchange would piss a lot of people off even more.

 

Brought back some good memories . Have seen this trending on a couple of sites now. Would be surprised if anything was actually done though.

 

Don't we already have private servers? Releasing a completely different version of the game for a select few is a stupid idea because it admits failure. No company wants to do that. It would be nice if they changed all of the servers back to the old Runescape however we all know that is highly unlikely.

Player also since 2002 I agree and disagree with several updates over that time and I still play, which is my choice.

You can truly tell who the original RuneScape players are.

As i am from 01, i agree and disagree with updates Jagex has made over the years, yet i adapt and allow change.

If you're unhappy with the game cancel your membership and get rid of your RuneScape account. No one is forcing you to play nor do any of us want those of you who come here and constantly complain on the forum with your repetitious spam about how much you hate Jagex.

As time goes on things evolve and change, not just RuneScape, real life things as well. They must to maintain the satisfaction of the current generation. As much as some of you hate to believe it, we're not the generation, we're an older generation and we must adapt to our current surroundings to last. Put this into a RuneScape perspective. I love RuneScape classic, i always will, however, they can't power a game that looks like Lego's when their competition; WoW - LoL - KWO - GW; have constant upgrades and new features.

Jagex is a business, they don't fix something that isn't broken. They took the wild out and realized their community awareness dropped so they brought it back to attract some of the old users back to the game. It worked. Their updates are based on when the largest growth in population occurs and they continue to form ideas to make that idea grow.

If you owned a business would you keep it the exact same, without change forever? No, you wouldn't. You would change to compete with your competitors and make the best business, as do they.

Now, for those of you have been whining about "Jagex selling XP for real money".

Who cares? Half of you who complain about this are botters and don't play the game legitimately anyways, why does it bother you? Once again, Jagex is a business and if they wish to sell XP for real life money so be it. They have bills to pay just as you and i do.

If most of you had maxed 99s you wouldn't play the game anymore either way, you would become bored then complain they need something new.

Moral of this story, if you don't like Jagex's updates you have two options: Make your own game - Quit.

They're not going to change for you, myself or the next guy threatening to quit until they see a major drop in activity.

 

Lilly pretty much summed it up. All these videos will not cause any change. It's when JaGeX's investors notice a big drop in activity that they will make change we want. It's not going to happen anytime soon.

I do miss the old RuneScape though. I'm not sure when I first started playing but I do remember that log in page and I miss it but it's like that with everything. This comparison might be a bad one but wtv. When I was younger, I loved the shows aired on TV. I wished it would come back but it never did. I then searched and watched them online and noticed how terrible and boring it is. I don't want it back anymore but I can see this being like this if it were to ever change dramatically to the days of 2005, etc.
