Substituteing Polypore Staff for the Traditional Slayer Bolt

I do alot of barrows and I was wondering if i could use the pre-charged polypore staff instead of the slayer bolt from a staff of light. what do you guys think?


*EDIT* i just did some research and a cast of a poly s 166gp and a slayer dart cast is around 430gp.

 

I would use polypore, higher hits and cheaper.. along with extra invy space

 

Slightly off topic, but are barrows still good money without the Drakan Medallion?


I would go with a polypore, because of the extra space and the cheaper overall cost.

 

Absolutely. Slayer dart is a decent, cost-efficient spell, but compared to the polypore staff it is quite terrible. The polypore staff hits much harder, is much more accurate, and will help you whip through your barrows runs 2x as fast as slayer dart would.

 

i use the fairy rings to get to canafis then take the underground shortcut to the boat and it takes me right to it. very quick trips.
