RS Name Request Thread

I suggest that someone else takes over the name request thread, preferably someone who spends lots of time in the name sale forum and would be able to update almost every day. ---> Jake Kastle

It's pretty disorganized right now, and rarely gets updated for new requests. The majority of the information on 2 number names/colors/1 letter names are out of date.

There should also be a list of names not to buy added to the thread, which would include names that were recovered by jagex for the owner, and names where the account was recovered by the owner before the transfer took place. I've seen multiple people get scammed for the same name, and this could be a way to prevent it.

A "sniped name list" could be incorporated as well, it would help stop scammers.

I however agree with this, if I was coming back into the name market sooner than late february/march, seeing as I sold a LOAD of names while I was, and intend to sell a lot more when I come back, I would happily upkeep it with my current knowledge, and then really update it when I get back into the market, but I would be happy with any super active member who spends a lot of time and preferably runs a large shop to do it also.

Edit : The sniped name list is a really good idea, seeing as sniped names aren't allowed on sythe I believe? Or is it names that are sniped from another sythe user/during trade that aren't allowed.

 

Yeah I am not sure if sniped names are not allowed but the person selling the name has to refund the cash/money given to for the name.

I totally agree what you said and I definiately support this.

Also Jake Kastle does alot of name buys so he is considerably super active in that area.

 

Why has he never gained a vouch in his thread for a name purchase then o.o

Edit 2 : Searched the first 4 pages and got bored, mostly Bumps and the occasional bid was placed, but I'm not sure he actually purchases any names. Still think an active moderator or member who is active in buying and selling should run the thread.

 

I don't receive/give vouches for names, it makes trading names much safer.

I think it's more important that someone be active than actually have name-sales experience. It's mostly just updating a list. Jake, I added you on skype, I can work with you to get you set up as OP of the thread
