I remember i used to go into the wildy directly north of varrock east bank and go looting the odd addy arrow on the ground. I'd always try get 100 and sell for 25k per set

I remember when pking on RS Classic people would use a crossbow and bolts because it was stronger than a bow and bronze arrows (the only arrows available).

when i started playing rs, not long after the release of rs2 it was oak shortbows and steel arrows for f2p

 

Addy arrows were always f2p, I believe you're mistaken with Rune.

 

This man speaks the truth. They didn't add maple bows and mithril/adamant arrows until 2005. I remember it being a humongous deal since they hardly ever did anything for free players, and it really made rangers dangerous in pvp. Prior to this, hardly anyone used range

 

I remember when these were f2p, it's sad that jagex are getting greedier. I'm sure maple bows there the best in f2p aswell?
