Legacy pure worth it?

well, legacy is finally here. Is it worth trying to make a new str pure to pk with? or will i get one hit like with eoc, every time...?

 

You won't get one hit if you stick to legacy only worlds as most people are doing for PvP.

I found a decent range build, 30 defence allows for snakeskin armor and high range, I have this build using hand cannon and dbow with 99 range and it wrecks.

I'm not sure if having no defence is a viable option any more, but having around 30 let's you use some pretty decent and underated (not to mention cheap) armor.

 

I dont think a pure would be the way to go, you should probably go for zerker as most people are already high levels.

 

The formula is different now for combat level. If you have 99 magic, 99 defence, 99 pray, 99 hp and 99 summoning, 1 attack/strength/range, that is 138 combat.



So if you don't understand the formula(a lot of people don't surprisingly) then take the highest of the stat in the first part, whether it be str+att, magic*2, or range*2, then multiply that by 1.3. Add you defence level+hp level, add half of your prayer, and half of your summoning level.

The current 'best' build would probably be 80 or 90 attack, <60 strength, 40-60 defence, and 95 prayer.

I'm not positive how strength is calculated into max hits currently, but if it's where most of your damage is from your weapons then go very low with strength and just high attack.

There's Legacy ONLY PKing worlds.

 

I still think the combat system needs a lot more work before it becomes half way decent, but it may be worth it if you like the legacy combat system as it is now.

 

Start training and making it, it may change by the time your done, as the combat styles are different to EOC, alot easier and more like old times

 

Instead of str pure make an attack pure. With the new eoc there really is no point in getting strength until attack is 99. You can either start getting strength then or get range and make it a range/2h which is good. I pk on f2p and I really enjoy it.
