was sythe made in 2000? any really old members?

when i first joined sythe in 2007 it was popular but wasn't as hyped as it is now, barely anyone was using it to sell bil's rsgp because noone had that much, it was used for account selling and what not, any old members care to dig up history?

 

This forum was made in 2005. I do not know how long sythe has owned the domain though (Maybe like 2003-4ish?).

 

Sythe used to be more for selling bots created by Sythe, though it slowly turned into a huge black market (from what I know, I wasn't around in the early early beginnings)

 

It was created in 2005 after the fall of RuneCMS. In 2007, the database was hacked, and I believe some accounts were deleted/hacked and banned. There aren't as many pre 2007 members left as there are 2008+.

 

sythe was legit back then. now it's full of shitty scammer that struggle to do legit business...

 

Sythe was used to sell bot scripts back in the day, and make small account/gp sales.

 

Yeah it was like, right after christmas 06 and then Sythe had to use a db from around June/July 06.

Also I've heard from a friend that Sythe.org was up at the same time as RuneCMS, just it wasn't a forum.

 

Ah. Is there any way to get back the older accounts that were deleted or are they gone forever?

 

They were some good times compared to now. Definitely was easier to do safe business back then.

 

thanks for sharing the knowledge guys, i knew scripting was still quite big when i joined and so were private servers and bots being sold, now they seem to have died down and its all about the rs market which is full of newb scammers? the ratio of legit to scammers in there is like 3:7

Look at the "users" tab. The youngest player is Sythe, who is from '05

 

When this forum was made it wasn't much about the black-market sort of thing, however it was more of a forum to share bots for Rs2( newly coming out after rsc).

Sythe used to make a lot of different bots, such as SytheScape, which was a client for RS similar to Swiftkit which had a rune kite shield as the icon if i remember.

He also has Sythes powerminer which used to cost like $5 or something per use, I remember on the GUI it had something like "How many pickaxes would you like to use?" or something like that.

I think afterwards just more and more people came in and thats when the community grew bigger, Sythe used to play a huge part and I remember 'concing' with him in TFC a loong time ago, and I can definitely say Sythe is one of the most oldest/popular cheating forums out there

I always though Sythe was made in 2005, well ( the domain ) become active in 2005. It may of been bought before 05, though not sure and I red so member in 07 how this place was, Still was full of scammers but there again they is scammers on many sites.

I'm assuming most 2005's who didn't know anything about botting googled random things and came across an autominer on sythe =p that's how i came here ^.^
