Go to your local computer store and ask for a wireless router?

They all work with any service provider.

Most routers these days are good, although make sure you get an N speed one, or higher.

As for brands, I recommend - Belkin, D-Link and Linksys are all good.

A basic Netgear router will work, anything to enhance the signal. Make sure your IT attendant doesn't have any restrictions on a brand before you buy, i.e I can't have Linksys at my college.

I've had my Netgear since i started here (3 years). Most of my fellow students here have Netgear as the campus store supplies them for purchase.

Router's rarely just 'break' like computers do.

Any router should last, personally my opinion on Netgear is quite negative, had a pretty bad experience using them. D-link seems okay, as does Linksys.

Well nothing is perfect, I've personally never had a problem with them.

If you're gonna bitch about Belkin's low reviews, then go for D-Link.

I'm not bitching, i'm stating they make poor products. D-Link is pretty good though not worth the +$100 for 5GHz, i feel if you're going to spend $150 for a router you can just upgrade to the Asus Dark Knight for a few extra dollars.

Na, I get free routers off my ISP. ASUS are very good, just expensive.

Do they charge you a one time fee on your monthly bill to cover expenses?
