How they scammed: Sent the BTC, got blocked and the user deleted all his messages.

Disclaimer: I am a total idiot for not checking the UID, however I copy pasted the discord tag from the gold selling thread of a 300$ donor, the discord tags are a 100% match. I might be at fault for not checking the UID, but in case '3rd age services' denies this being him and will say it is an imposter, please explain to me how you can advertise a discord tag on your thread that is not yours.

Thank you for raising a scam report. I would like to point out firstly that the UID you have mentioned is not my UID, mine is 714429404444622849. This has always been correct on my Sythe profile.

We always have a protocol to either DM via Sythe or raise a ticket in the discord. Which neither was done.

I can also see that you only joined the discord server, after the imposter scammed you.

I can see that the imposter ban bot that sits in quite a number of servers had this discord account banned, so the user is not in my server, from over a week ago.

To respond to:

as I mentioned in the disclaimer, I made a mistake for not checking the UID.

Secondly:
'We always have a protocol to either DM via Sythe or raise a ticket in the discord. Which neither was done.'

These terms of services/protocols are not mentioned anywhere in the thread you are using to advertise your gold selling service. Therefore you can't assume that (potential) customers have any knowledge about your so called 'protocol'.

To continue:

I joined your discord server to make you aware that you have an incorrect discord ID on your Sythe profile, for which I still can't find a plausible reason.

And your last sentence/argument is not even relevant enough to respond to.

Like I mentioned in my disclaimer: yes, I made a mistake for not checking UID. But nevertheless, in my opinion, you: (3rd Age Services) should be held accountable for having an incorrect discord tag in your Sythe profile. Or at least give a somewhat believable explanation why you have a wrong discord tag in all your threads/profile, and why you didn't change this earlier? And why did you change your discord tag in the first place? Never had the thought or idea to update your Sythe profile once you changed your discord tag?

I already accepted that my 100$ is gone, but I surely think 3rd Age Services should be held accountable at some degree as it would be impossible to prove that he is the actual scammer.

I have recently changed my username on discord which I am at fault for not immediately updating on Sythe, however, my unique ID has never changed and there was no sythe communication with you until this report. I am not responsible for this imposter scam.

If the mods find it necessary for a punishment due to the delay in the discord username update, then I will take the punishment for that but not the imposter scam

Thank you for your ruling on this case. It was a costly mistake by the both of us here, mine for a simple admin error but BigEasy for not checking simple things like UID or sending a sythe DM or joining the discord server.

I have learnt from this and I certainly hope he has too.

As discussed just now, I will make a payment of $98.56 to the community fund by Saturday 27th May to clear this scam between BigEasy and an imposter.

Again, thank you for your time on this ruling and in this nicest possible way, I hope we do not need to speak like this again
