    He sold me an OSRS account on 11/15 and he recovered in on 12/18. He is the original owner. He's banned on RuneMate for selling the exact same account.

    Scammer's profile link: anger
    Explanation of the trade: bought the account from him for $40 through PayPal
    How they scammed: Recovered the account 12/18. I was able to log in in the morning and 30 minutes later I couldn't.

    I've issued a DNT on him for now. User was also online earlier, and ignore this report + your Skype message regarding the account being recovered.

    @anger Care to elaborate here?

    He has been talking to me through skype now. He says he did not do it and is trying to recover the email ([email protected]) the same email was used to scam on RuneMate under a different user name there. He is trying to recover the outlook email to recover the osrs account. But nothing yet

    I didn't ignore the report, I messaged shadowfox on skype as soon as I saw the reports

    As shadow said, I'm helping him get back into the account. I've contacted hotmail and it says it can take up to 24 hours to get it back if I submitted the correct info

    I didn't know about the scam on runemate and it's connected to a sythe account as well

    I bought this account from someone back in July from someone on a botting website and never had an issue with recoveries until now

    I should have stated I am not the original owner in my threads but I jsut wanted to sell the account quickly

    The person I bought it from claimed to have given me all the right recoveries for the hotmail account and the runescape accont so I'll do my best to get it back

    If I can't I'll refund him as it's my fault

    and either way he'll probably want a refund since I'm not the original owner even if I do end up getting the account back. I will refund him with no issues if he wishes

    You should've mentioned that you're not the OO of the account from the beginning. By leading your customer on to believe your the OO you ultimately betray the trust they had in you as they expected to purchase the account that is yours due to your reputation, not someone elses. The account is unsafe for him to use, therefore you'll have to refund the amount he purchased the account for. Post here when the refund has been issued.

    I don't mind him trying to recover the account, I've put in A LOT of work in the past month. Got the wealth on the account to 115-120 million gold and items. I would like for him to continue trying to recover if he can. If that doesn't work then a refund is fine.

    It's been over a day, still nothing and I can't cancel membership on the account until I get access. Unless I cancel my card attached to the account.

    @King He responded saying he was still trying earlier today, told me he was still trying to recover the email account since Microsoft didn't approve his first appeal for it. Told me he would update me when he got home from work. But no update yet. Its about to be 3 days since the bank pin's reset on the osrs account. Meaning I'm about to lose a lot of gold and items... and still have my credit card stuck to the account.

    The recovery got denied a second time so the odds of me getting back into the account are probably zero

    as for the bank pin i think it takes 3 days for it to be removed not sure though

    and as for your card being stuck to the account i can't remove it without access but i'll refund you for the account and the last month membership you just paid for. You're going to have to call your card company and tell them to cancel the subscription or something

    sorry for not replying on skype phones been dead im getting on now

    Can you give me the information he gave you to recover the account?? I need something to give to jagex to cancel my card attached the the account. I have asked for this information several times.

    @King @anger They are going to cancel my card and it is tied to way too many things to just do that... jagex just needs more information and they'll cancel the subscription. I still don't understand why I cannot get the information that I should have gotten in the first place to recover an account

    He did it with the same account to another user on EpicNPC. So clearly he's lying about someone else taking the account from him.


    And he has not issued a refund yet.
