Rs membership upgrades question...

Ok so I get quite a few 25$ visa gift cards here and there, enought that I have a few lying around and was thinking of doing upgrades for a few people.

My question is...
If say I found someone who was willing to let me go on their account to do the upgrade, since I dont think id be willing to give out the card number, is there an option to only do the upgrade once, and not save the card info for next time?

Cause I remember when I get my membership through them, that it saves the card info, which I don't want cause then the person can use up my card, it also does a reccuring option, which also I dont want.

Hmm I've never payed with at CC. But there should be an option to pay for only 1 month, and not the recurring option. Have you tried looking at the options yourself from ur own account?

Seems like you can't select a 1 month non recurring option. Weird =/

But you can make it not save ur details

 

You can get the one month subscription, then once you applied the upgrade onto the account, there's a option where you can cancel the subscription and it won't take payments from your card in the future.

 

Cancel it from your card or you can do it from the website right after you pay with your card.

 

Apply the membership, then cancel the membership. That erases you. I do it with my own account just incase. It wont remove the membership, just cancel all possibility of using that card on that account without re-entering.

Careful with micro-transactions in case you ever go down that route, I believe it saves your details for repeat purchases (not sure if they've updated this yet).

 

What do you mean by that part?

Because like it was said there is an option not to save the card details, and to cancel the subscription right after to prevent from a repeat subscription payment. Do you mean that is STILL saves your info? (sorry im a lil confused)

I think, the Save details option is only going to be useful if you order a 3month non recurring subscription?
And RwmRS2 probably means, if you have a monthly recurring subscription that it basicly has to save those details to pay that monthly membership?

 

Sorry, I went off-topic a but. Membership details shouldn't save. Micro transactions includes Runecoins, Spins etc. just in case you were thinking about that too. IDK if it still works that way though, I just remember people raging about it.

You have to pay for first, then you have to go back through the system and cancel the subscription, there's no way to just order one month at a time it will automatically sign you up for recurring. After you cancel, it will remove your cc information from the account so the owner can't keep billing you and get free membership out of it. And definitely uncheck the box that frankzz was talking about
