If i get an xbox 360, what games should i buy?

yeah...i'm seriously thinking of buying one probably next summer. My brother is taking our wii(he's moving with a roomate in college >_>), and im pissed, so i simply must buy a new system for myself.

I'm not a hardcore player, but I do want to try some different games i haven't tried before. I've stuck with nintendo all my life previously, so that's why i'm not 'hardcore'.

Here was a list that i came up really quick, and adding more games as people suggest:
1. Gh3 3 - well... i have this for the wii, but i want to play the devil went down to georgia, and the slash battle on quickplay. Not only because of this, but i'm a fan of it.

2. Banjo kazooie: nuts and bolts

3. Conker - live and reloaded

4. Need for speed - any fun version will be good.

5. Grand theft auto 4

6. Call of duty 4

7. Halo 3

8. Guitar hero 4


Lastly, i want to look for games including these genres:
- Adventure
- 1st person shooter
- Some fun fighter game

Jericho, Halo 3, and I hear Bioshock is good

 

First off, get live. Then buy GTA4, Halo, and COD4. Then masturbate while looking at it all. Then you can play if you want... really no point though.

 

Elder scrolls 4: Oblivion.

 

Soul Calibur 4 - fighting
GTA 4 - sandbox
Unreal Tournament 3 (much better then Halo 3) - fps
Ninja Gaiden 2 (one of the most challenging games on 360) - action/3rd person
Halo 3 - fps
Forza 2 - racing sim

Dont get NFS pro street which is the most recent because its ass

 

CoD4 and Halo 3 are a must. Conker is a good choice, as well.

 

Call of Duty 4, halo 3 if you get used and cheap

 

jericho is the worst fps on any console ever

 

GTA4, GH4 when it comes out in the near future. Rainbox Six vegas 2 is the best game ever, NCAA 09, Halo 3 of course, COD4, and skate is not bad.
