    Review my build, any suggestions?

Thank you so much for all the help, I've got just one more question lol

I've got the GFX card, case, sound card, RAM etc. etc.

but I've managed to get the i5 3750k for only £110, but it doesn't come with the stock cooler.

Now, I can get this: http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/part/cooler-master-cpu-cooler-rr212e20pkr2 and I take it I just install this and that would have sufficient cooling in my tower?

I've bought a gold standard, modular PSU as well, so I'll assume the airflow will be good due to less cables restricting airflow.

Another quick question, I've got a motherboard with enough PCI and PCI-E slots in it for what I'm buying (sound card, wifi etc.) but the PSU I've purchased, it has 8 PCI-e plugs. I didn't even realise that the PSU had connectors for PCI-e and PCI? I assumed that the cards in any of the slots in the motherboard would be powered through the power from the PSU going into the motherboard. Am I completely wrong here?

    Thanks again

1st off, the 212 series coolers provide excellent air cooling for their cost... The only thing is that with a cooler, you normally have to purchase your own thermal paste - Without thermal paste the cooler will not conduct and transfer the heat properly. Also, keep in mind that the 212s are massive (they're really tall)

This guy provides a video on pretty much how to build the computer (it's ~15 minutes long with a menu to skip to parts you're unsure about), as well as thermal paste spreading and does it in a pretty... unique fashion.

8PCI-e plugs should be more than adequate but I would need to see the updated build. You need 2 plugs for your GPU, sound card and WiFi should run off of the board's power. I believe some boards are beginning to provide dedicated power to the PCI's directly (you only need one or two plugs for it). Those PCI-e cords are (generally) specifically for powering GPUs... 8 of them at 2 per card, sounds like you got an SLI/Crossfire ready Powersupply for up to 4 cards. Most PCI/PCI-e slots on the board provide power to the unit attached (~75w) which is (again, generally) more than adequate for a sound card, WiFi, etc.

In short: PCI-e connectors are for GPUs or other objects that require direct-line (raw) power. Everything else can run off power given by the slots.

Wow, most helpful dude ever :p

Anyway, I picked up the processor for real cheap anyway, so I could just sell it and get a brand new one for £160 with the stock cooler. I think that'll be best as I don't want to mess around with thermal paste etc. as I'll probably mess something up knowing me!

Anywho, I've got this here pretty much but with a SoundBlaster X-Fi Xtreme Gamer PCi Sound Card SB0770 which my friend recommended (it was only £20 so I'm not too bothered really):

http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/p/Fe5l - this is now correct (originally posted incorrect one)

I'm still waiting for my 3GB Radeon 7970 (1Ghz version) which I nicely managed to get for £210 :p to arrive so I still need to wait for that before I start building.

EDIT, sorry, I've updated the parts link, I don't know what the last one was about lol
Also, I upgraded to the 256GB SSD for the better performance and space (I had a £70 win on a football accumulator lol)
