Steam recovery question?

Hey guys, I know this is probably in the wrong section but I don't want to post in the report a scammer section because I'm not sure if this is full enough evidence. The sale I went through was fine, but I recieve emails from steam about "forgotten password" and the seller of the account is not responding. Will the picture from my email and my chat log of no responces count enough? (I'm also not sure if I should wait to see if the seller responds)
