Revenant Drop Log + Misc. Goals [99 Prayer | 96 Herblore]

Some nice drops, I aint got that kinda patience

 

Will be adding pictures today or tomorrow when I get a chance. Just purchased enough dragon bones for 99 prayer! It should only take a week or so to train it up, and then I can check another goal off of the list

- April 21st, 2012:

• Spent 2M building a gilded altar & burners in my POH in preparation of 99 prayer
• Spent 53M buying 16,900 Dragon Bones to get from 95-99 prayer
• Added a picture of achieving 96 prayer & the bones in my bank.

 

How long do you play per day and when do you think you will get 99 prayer?

I'm on the same boat as you. I've gotten from 56-87 Prayer since the 19th, and it's turning my brain to mush. Only about 20k Dragon Bones left to go, though. This thread gave me more inspiration than i had before.

 

I usually play RS for atleast 2-4 hours per day, but it varies. I was planning on beasting out 99 prayer this weekend and getting it either tomorrow or Tuesday, but with my recent promotion I have been spending more time on Sythe learning the ropes.

I have been on RS a couple hours each day still, but I have not been training prayer. I needed 83 woodcutting anyways, and now is a perfect time to get it as I can AFK

I plan on getting to those bones ASAP, however. I want that prayer cape!

Prayer can definitely be a grindfest, but don't give up! It feels so good when you finally hit your goal, and if you stick at it a little bit everyday, its not so bad.

Even though I've found it seems to be far faster to train in my own house, I often spend half of the time on W31 at somebody elses house, just for the company. Its can be quite fun and help to take out the 'grind' aspect of training prayer.

Pork - I make about half of my money in game from doing regular activities... Slaying, farming, and lots of PVM - Revs, Frosties etc.

The other half is made on Sythe here, usually selling gamecards. It gives me a way to gain RSGP quickly when I want to help buy an expensive skill or get something done fast.

There are lots of different ways to make money here on Sythe, many of which can be done from scratch for 100% profit. If you are good at GFX, you could make UI's, sigs, avatars, thread layouts, Youtube layouts etc. and sell those for really good cash. You can also do services, skilling, or quests for people and earn some decent coin

Gamecards are not the most profitable way to make RSGP. If you are buying them for cash and selling them for GP like I do, you can actually end up LOSING a lot of money. I only sell gamecards because it is a very convenient method for me as I don't have PayPal nor a even a bank account right now. If you get into the gamecard/pin business though, you can make profit by buying your cards cheap and selling them for higher. This goes alot smoother if you earn some trust & reputation first, or else people don't like paying too much.

I would highly advise just browsing through the market and checking out all the different sections. You will learn a lot about the different kinds of businesses that are run on Sythe, and probably discover some ways to make cash that you didn't previously know about

You should also try reading through the guides section for both market and internet related guides. You can often find good information there about how to get started in the market, how to trade safely, and how to build and run a successful business.

Great progress! Makes me want to start playing again and finish my 99 herb push (97 right now!). Do you have any advice for me if I decide to make the push? It's been awhile since I have played

 

Well that all really depends on how much cash you have stored on your account, and how much you are wiling to spend. If you make "x" amount of overloads from scratch, it is quite fun and very good xp (this involes making the super potions (3), then mixing in secondaries for extreme potions (3), and then finally combining those with a clean torstol to make an overload (3) ). This can get quite expensive though.

If you came back and attempted to make that final push, what would your budget look like? That can help me narrow it down for you
