Just to be clear, as we discussed on discord there were two different estimates given for the time for confirmation, one being 2.5 hours and one being 30mins

@Romeo found that that time was unacceptable and basically demanded that I sign a second transaction of $200, which would open me up to being scammed by him rebroadcasting the first transaction any time in the future.

I have been scammed 1 eth (~ $200 at the time) in the past by a simmilar thing, and didnt want that as a possiblity

 

and the current transaction recomended on various wallets ranges from 55-61 gwei, the transaction was sent at 40. so that isnt quite the 25% as you claim

 

This is being resolved in discord with @Romeo but this report is dumb af

you spent 2 hours arguing around in circles to save 1 hour.

also demanding that I sign a second transaction and promising that you wouldnt rebroadcast the first one at any point in the future is dumb af.


If at any point in the future you decided to scam quit and or leave sythe, you could just rebroadcast the original transaction and yoink 0.5 eth which at the time could be worth significantly more then $200

 

3 hours ago you said that it will be confirmed in 40 minutes now u said 2.5 hrs when 3.5 hours have passed? No one should ever do business with this guy or go first to him because this is what happens. He will send you payment with the LOWEST possible fee that will not confirm and he will tell you to wait 24 hours because "I didnt agree to send with high fee for you to get payment right away"

 

im not the one giving the estimates, im not sure how they work.

ETH Gas Station originally esimated it at 2.5 hours, but because there likley was more high fee transactions the time has since increased

and just to be clear, this isnt the lowest possible fee lmao. it could have been sent at 1 gwei

 

Im glad you acknowledge that you sent a very low fee on purpose. This should be known you malicious intent/greed. If you look at the blockchain no transaction with less than 52gwei has been processed in the last 6+ hrs and probably even longer.

As i said in discord, if this doesnt confirm in the next day or so I can figure out an alternate payment method until it does.


your solution of just sending an entirely new transaction wouldnt work, because at any point in the future even years from now, you (or anybody else in the world) could rebroadcast the old transaction and claim an extra 0.5 eth.
this is basically me just writing a second check and hoping you dont claim the first one.

 

Lol its funny that the cheapest says 56 gwei yet you thought it would be smart to put even less than the cheapest.

 

just to be clear @Romeo doesnt understand how fees work, i tried explaining at the time the suggested fees showed that 40 gwei was good, however since then the fees have clearly increased. this also has likely caused the additional delay in the estimated time calculations.

 

If anybody has a solution how to to RBF eth transactions without signing a second trasanction and hoping that nobody rebroadcasts please contact me on discord
