I've been using this site for a while now to watch live football it's pretty good and has loads of american sports too, it's always got english premiership, serie a, bundesliga and loads of other matches! even international matches; i'm watching england right now.

All you need to do is look for the link of the game you want to watch, find out what media player it will be streamed for, download it off the site, open it, then click the "play" button on the match page, sometimes they take the piss buffering but it's pretty good for free
I use TvAnts and sopcast , tv ants is definately the best for me thoe.
