I have found a gif i want to use pretty bad as an avatar and resized it to a more appropriate size via tiny pic, the actual file size is way too big though im wondering how people have such outrageously big siggys and avatars when i cant get anything to upload due to file size! Sorry if this is wrong section but im ignorant to things of this nature. the gif is : http://i48.tinypic.com/2zpsbw2.gif i need this to be able to be used as an avatar :\

I always use this site (hyperlinked because its a gigantic link) to resize any .gifs I have so they are reasonable size. A lot of them that people have as avatars though can still be quite large, but as they are donators they have globals apply the larger 150x100 images. Maybe you should consider becoming a $5 donor if you want a larger avatar

Well thanks for answering but i used a similar site to actually resize it and i could get it to a size thats allowed but the actual file size is too large so my main question is about compressing the file size so it would work, thanks for the input though.

From the link I gave you there should be a color reduction option, this is the only way to reduce the size further I believe. It may end up looking kind of bad from reducing the colors too much though, so it may not be ideal.
