[DENIED] Require you to Read the How to Identify & Avoid Being Scammed on Discord

I have had a handful of customers now that do not even know what a UID is or how to even find it!! i feel as if discord scamming is one of the biggest i have seen on here so far. Today i informed my customer on UIDs he had no idea and hes been a member for a while and already sent me the $15 he was astonished when i told him what coulda happened when he asked me what the uids where to fill out my service app. I informed him they copy everything down to the #???? even pictures he was like yea i saw was same picture so had piece of mind. There needs to be more actions on getting new users and even old user who dont know about UIDS

I'm torn because I would like to support but at the same time I feel like forcing people to read something is a deterrent from joining something. How many times to we have ToS on things outside of Sythe and we just scroll through and accept. It is ultimately up to the person to take the time to read something and want to put themselves in a better position to not get scammed.

It's for your own good isn't a valid enough argument to put something in place. You shouldn't smoke cigarettes for your own good. You shouldn't drink and drive for you own good. People do it all the time. I could go on and on. There has to be more pros than cons in order to implement something.

I'm always for things that work towards bettering the trading experience for people and cutting down on scamming. Forcing someone to read something that in all reality they're not going to read anyway doesn't make much sense to me that's all. That's just my opinion though.

There are a lot of things in the works that are trying to ensure this right now, I support it fully, although a lot of suggestions are similar to this right now.

We can't force people to read things, however we're updating our welcome page to include several more up-to-date guides related to Discord and impostors: https://www.sythe.org/posts/36463529/.
