Requesting a Movie name

[hey guys]

Im sorry but i will only be able to provide some info.
Made in the 1990s.
Description: Felt like an sad movie about a yellow(?) robot that doesnt seem to fit into society. this is NOT a animation but is real acting.

Im not sure if that's the real sotryline, but its how i felt when i was very young and saw it. I recently had a dream about this movie and i really want to rewatch this movie again to learn its true meaning.

If anyone can help using this small info i'll be greatful
The robot looks like this robot from Star Wars. Thanks for any help!

Wow that was quick guys, i have to watch this movie again. I honestly had a dream and its been bugging me for the past few weeks.

You guys found the right movie. Looks like hes silver not yellow. I think it mus have been the scenes when the background had a more yellowish flash.
