Don't be part of the problem, be part of the solution.

No, we will not stop global warming, but we can help it by not using fossil fuels as much.

Higher gas prices mean you have to pay more for food.

What about all the people in India, who are starting to die because they cannot afford food.

 

Or large gas companies could just lower the prices..ever since Katrina hit they rose the prices ridiculously, and without cause. They hardly lost any oil, and just jacked the price then because they could. And now look at it..

 

The reason they can is because we are dependent on it. Also, we are running out.

 

Understand, most of the world lives off of oil, gas, etc. How will you heat your house this winter? How will you drive somewhere, such as school, work, a party? They will rise prices because they know they can make money, they will continue to until something drastic happens, such as a mass of people rebelling against it, which would be far out of anyone's thought.

 

Start walking more.

Im not saying stop using it all together, im saying cut down on it. Because I am aware that we cannot survive now without it, unless we get an alternative source in our cars soon. And make it affordable is part of the problem also.

 

Gas prices can rise, it means we buy less, Less polution

Hopefully America goes into Depression, That should bring down the polution with all those Mexicans starving (No harm intended)

 

As selfish as it may seem, I live for myself, and I will live as luxuriously as possible. And if that means I have to sacrifice a few starving people along the way, so be it.

Where I live its about 20 minutes from the closest city, and to walk there would be ridiculous, my school is 20 minutes away as well, walking is a desperate failure...

Well, maybe you don't understand, our economy is just going through a flump, if you look at past records (Which I honestly doubt you do, by looking at how educated you are in telling us that we are running out of fuel) What happens is, less gas price goes up, real estate has waves, these waves make it so in 10 years house will be worth more and not with what you bought it, that is why people move, because they make money, and they upgrade, food price goes up because they are looking for some money, but, your wages aren't going anywhere, minimum wage has only gone up about a dollar or maybe .50 cents. Yes, we are shorting on fossil fuels, but are we finding a solution, yes, but, not everyone will stop and just like someone else said, I will put myself first before a starving Indian.

If we stop using fossil fuels, we will be using natural things such as grease, corn oil etc. if we do that what do you think will happen to those people in places like india? They will die faster because they won't be able to afford anything. think about all aspects of the situations before you go off about something half cocked

I'm not sure what you have against India? China consumes more gas than them.
