    Sanjuro's Fishing Guide.

First off, to start this you need an account. ;s.
I am making a small guide for this because it is my favorite skill.
I haven't mastered it yet, but I am working hard on it.

    The Basics of this Guide.

In this guide, You will learn how to get your fishing to 99 and how to make some great money on the way. I will try to get as much in-depth as I can, but this is my first guide. Pictures will be provided to show where the best fishing spots are.

Notes:: * means can be done in P2P.
P2P is Pay to play, or Members.
F2P is Free to play, or Non-members.

    Part 1
    Starting off F2P.* Levels 1-10.

    Items Needed: Crayfish Cage.

Your best bet in getting level 10 fishing is Crayfish. They are easier then shrimp, in my opinion.

The spot is right next to the Lumbridge Church.

Crayfish give you 10 XP per, and will get faster after level 5.
Estimated amount of Crayfish to be caught for level 10 fishing: 116.

Money Gain/Loss: +0 (Crayfish don't really sell that well)

    Part 2
    Early levels F2P.* Levels 10-20.

Items Needed: Fishing Rod, Around 200 fishing bait.

The next place you should head to is Barbarian Village.
The next best fish you can get is Herring.

When you fish here, You will catch Sardines too. They are able to be fished at level 5. But I would not suggest to do that until level 10, where you can fish Herring too.
This gets faster after 16 Fishing. You can also bank the sardines and Herring up at Edgeville bank, which is North from the fishing spot.

Sardines give you 20 xp, and Herring give you 30 xp.
Estimated herring needed to be caught for 20 fishing: 111
Estimated sardines needed to be caught for 20 fishing: 166

    Money Gain/Loss: - 1-2k

    Part 3
    Mid levels F2P.* Levels 20-40.

Items Needed: Fly Fishing Rod, around 1k feathers.

Your best bet is to stay at Barbarian Village, because it has a bank directly north of it. Look at Pic 2 for its location.
You will be fishing Trout and Salmon.

Trout and Salmon are your best bet till about 45-50 fishing. Reason being, Lobsters are slow when you start off.
You will have to get 30 fishing till you start getting Salmon. So, make sure you are ready to get a lot of trout.

I do recommend keeping the trout and salmon in the bank, because it is the preferred food for lower levels, so you have a chance at making some decent money/ making your money back from supplies.
Note:: Trout do take about a day to sell, so have patience.

Trout gives you 50 xp, and Salmon gives you 70 xp.
Estimated trout needed to be caught for 40 fishing: 656
Estimated salmon needed to be caught for 40 fishing: 468

    Money Gain/Loss: + 15-20k

    Part 4
    Skilled levels F2P.* Levels 40-99

Items needed: Lobster Cage, Gold; for trips at Port Sarim.

You will be fishing Lobsters at Brimhaven/Karamja.
This is my most recommended way to get 99 fishing. Its the 2nd best Exp, and you don't have to worry about catching Tuna along the way.

Lobsters are the best way to fish in F2P. You can ask any person who fishes. It is also one of the best ways to make money. But, there is one Pet Peeve that I have with BANKING the lobsters. You have to pay 30 coins, both on the way to and from Port Sarim. It eventually adds up.
The power fishing way, would mean you drop the lobsters after you bet a full inventory.

    Lobsters give 90 experience.
Estimated Lobsters needed to be caught to 99 fishing: 144,414.

    Money Gain/Loss: + 43.3m

    Part 5
    Mid Levels P2P. Levels 40-65 or 99.

    Items Needed: Lobster Cage.

PLEASE NOTICE, That you will be fishing more lobsters, this time, at Catherby. I love the Catherby spot because the bank is closer, where as in Karamja, you have a long way to walk.

    [Pic 4 added later]

The reason you go to 65 fishing, is because next you can fish Monkfish, which is my 100% suggested fish. There is a problem though, because you will have to do a few quests to get there, and the Might one called, "Swan Song." For this quest, I do suggest you have good prayer and use melee, because with mage, You don't really stand a chance, I learned the hard way.

    Lobsters give you 90 xp.
Estimated lobsters needed for 65 fishing: 4581.

    Money Gain/Loss: + 1.3m

    Part 6
    The Master levels P2P. 65-99

    Items Needed: Small fishing net.
    Requirements: Swan Song quest Complete.

You will be fishing at the Pictoras Fishing Colony.
    You will be fishing Monkfish.

    [Pic 5 added later]

This is my absolute favorite fishing way. It also makes great money if you sell them raw. They usually sell instantly at med, but if that's not enough, sell them max. This is realll fast xp, especially at 80 fishing. Depending on what world you fish at, You can run into people who are families, because they spend so much time in that world and place. I suggest trying to get in one of these, because it will make your time, and fishing go a lot faster, or so it seems.

    Monkfish give you 120 xp.
Estimated Monkfish needed to be caught for 99 fishing: 104,876

    Money Gain/Loss: + 40m

    The End of the Guide.

If you noticed, NOWHERE in this guide do I suggest SHARK. They are wayy too slow, and it can get bothersome. IF you do decide to fish them, do it at 90+ Fishing. You can get some decent money if you do decide to do it earlier then that, but that is if you decide to take the slow way.
I have not got 99 fishing yet, but I have been training for 3 days now and went from 78-81 fishing so far. Monkfish World 132. I've fishing about 3-4k Monkfish and made around 1m.

That's the end of this guide. Credits: Me, Spaderdabomb(Owns a skill guide in the forums that I use.)

    Sanjuro's Fishing Guide.

This is discussed in long term with fishers.
Supposedly Barb fishing is better because you get Agil and Str xp.
I have never really tried it yet but am looking forward to it.
My philosophy is that Monkfish are better. Because you can bank and get a decent profit out of it.
NEVER do Shark. Thats a definate.
