Reporting T1N0, charge for proper work/outsourcing

Reporting - T1N0

Reason - Job not done as promised, Outsourcing/MM work, claims I may need to pay more for adjustments since he hire/work with others who do actual work I requested, he did not do work himself as I thought. Promised highest quality and got this (redacted video, contains rsn - please check history) flashy effect towards end multi color last 4-5 seconds a child can insert transition and do this effect in 2 minutes.

so he can hire anyone he want and take any job and pass on to someone else and take cut of profit with no actual business or mention of it, should not be okay.

Explain - Paid 100M OSRS upfront to T1N0 Hired to edit PK video intro for me, quality not as promised, didn't like one over edit effect super flashy and looked very poor quality, ask to change and says I may need to spend more money for change of work if change needed again, he say guys he having do the job won't change and is too late and may charge me more? Not doing work himself like hired and I feel rip off. At first I okay with paying little more til found out he not doing work himself and say I may need to pay more if not done to quality satisfaction he swears by.

As can see he dance around with words, no set price because he has outsource, this was not okay with me when he say it may charge me more if video need fix from poor quality to start and I find out he not do the work himself, quality effect is crap I asked 30+ people in pk clan all say same thing. Try refusing ''Quality guarantee/promise'' claiming I take too long to reply, should be no issue if he editor himself. I not messaged on Sythe or Skype when he try to reach me only Discord little effort made in contact me

 

I would like refund and find someone direct to work with so no upcharge, bs, games or delay work, or to finish job no extra cost period, not asking extra work, only job done right first time

I do not need to state my designers that I work with (They also do not run their own threads on Sythe so that breaks no rules) 2ndly I did mention "we" a thousand times and not "I" so that's just you being stupid.

A few posts of me mentioning "we" to let him know that its clearly a team of designers and not just me. These are before he had even purchased from me.

I'm sorry but this guy is just full of shit, I always promote that positive energy but sometimes people gotta be put in their place.

Also outsourcing is allowed. A graphic's moderator him self on Sythe does it. Won't be mentioning any names but he can jump in this report if needed. (Moderators can ask for proof or more info about that via pm)

You are missing the point, I ''Was'' okay until you start to say I may be charged if change isn't okay and that I ''may'' have to be charged more for good quality work. You did not mention quality is crap, lets get opinion shall we? Quality is not as promised for payment I provide, simple. You did not tell me you aren't doing work yourself, not upfront, expect me to pay attention to small details is bs haha. Notice when you talk about you not doing work and it become a problem with me paying more if job isn't done right, that is bs and games. You are not honest or upfront properly. You dance with words and this is shady behavior.

720P is video quality, I mean edit quality is garbage LOL. Job was not done as promised.

 

any update mods? I would like work complete no extra charge for promise quality and deal that was made with T1N0 originally. If he can not do quality as promised then I want refund. Please take opinion on video quality if need with more staff or member

 

I have reviewed this situation myself and have discussed it with other staff members. There are a few things that are problems here:

1. When you outsource/hire workers to complete a service for you, you need to inform the client of that before a deal is agreed upon. Failure in doing so leads the client to believe that they are having their work made by you. Using plural pronouns in your thread layout is not adequate in informing your customers that their work may be outsourced to a third party. In what happened here, the client ordered the service under the pretense that the quality of the work he would receive would be up to par to the quality that is advertised on your graphic design service thread. In the future before outsourcing work, you need to inform the client that it is being outsourced before payment is sent, and if the people you are hiring are not of equal skill, you should inform them of that too.
2. The quality of the work that @Paksales received is of low quality when compared to the reference he sent you and the promises of quality you stated. What is good/bad quality is inherently subjective, so I asked other staff if they thought the work was of adequate quality and it was unanimously agreed that the work was not up to par with the rest of your work and what the client expected to receive when the deal was made. This is not a ruling or anything, but I suggest you find somebody new to outsource your video editing to if you are going to promise such great quality.
3. When you're offering design, you are providing a service. You are creating something that meets the client's needs and specifications. In doing so, it is a given that sometimes the designer will not get it perfect the first time or fully capture what the client intended. Whether that is the fault of the client for not articulating their needs enough or the fault of the designer for misinterpreting the client's wishes depends on a case by case basis. While we do not have a rule against this, it is horrible business practice to charge a client for edits in the conversation immediately after the initial design is presented. It paint's a picture of someone who looks at their clientele as dollar signs rather than people whose problems you're supposed to be helping solve. I would reconsider some of these practices.

As a result of these issues, most importantly failing to sufficiently inform @Paksales that you would be outsourcing your work and the poor quality work that was presented as a result of that, @T1N0 is to either provide edits requested within a reasonable time frame OR refund the amount paid in full, at @Paksales 's choice. If he fails to do this within a reasonable time frame please create another report.

Additionally, there have been numerous reports in the past few months highlighting poor business practices in regards to your design services @T1N0 . I have discussed with other staff and we have come to the conclusion that you will receive a Trade-with-Caution rank that you can appeal in one month's time.
