Reporting scammers

Why are the staff rarely looking at scamming reports? I seen a report against a SVU earlier who was fairly trusted and when the first report of him ban evading on powerbot came in he scammed over $200 worth of gold/accounts before he actually got banned...Something needs to be done as it took 13 hours from the report being made for him to be banned (Now 4-5 reports) Thankfully ttb has banned him now.

 

Contrary to popular belief we do have jobs, lives and hobbies outside of sythe.

 

The point im trying to make, there has been 5+ staff on all day and not one of them can look? I know you all have other things to do more surely theres more you can do

 

Some cases take some looking into, therefore there is a delay in a decision.

 

Althought I agree on both points, they still should take a look wether it is important or not to solve. And overall, if they are gonna take that long allowing the guy to scam even more, simply temp ban.

 

It's always been like this for as long as I can remember. It gets annoying sometimes but you have to understand that they aren't eyeballing the site 24/7. Time zones play a huge factor into when reports are handled. 13 hours ago from when you created this thread was 1 am est, 6 am bst , and at other time zones it's midday (work/school time). It would be nice for all reports to be handled in a timely manner though.

 

A report being handled in 13 hours really isn't bad. Also, people should be researching the people that they trade with. It does not take very long to go through the RaSc section to check for scam reports and/or do a quick google search on someone. I'm not making excuses for slow response times, it's just that people should be smart when they make trades.

 

In a voluntary situation it will never be instantaneous to the report creation, but the number of unresolved reports has steadily decreased over the years when it used to regularly be multiple pages. Obviously yea, it can always be improved on and we do try
