Reporting or warning about a user(s) with no evidence?

A bit over a month ago I had a name sniped from me. I had the name for 5 years on my account and decided I didn't need it. I kept it as private as I feasibly could while finding a 'reputable' buyer, and let a total of three people know about the name. One of them was a market mod so I doubt it was him/her. The other two being well known name sellers/buyers. All three users were contacted through sythe conversations. They were all 'reputable' by at least a neutral observation. I was confident that my name would not be sniped because only 3 reputable users knew of it. I was wrong about this.

Reasoning for my question is that name sniping is apparently impossible to prove unless they try to sell the name they sniped again in an obvious manner. My sniped name has already been re-sold, and I have no way to verify who did it or who bought it. I also cannot directly blame any particular user, because 3 users knew of the name and that leaves the possibilities open. I do however think that narrowing it down to 3 users is kind of fortunate, as it couldn't be anybody that isn't one of those three users. Admittedly I don't know a ton about sniping, but I know enough to understand that the sniper has to be aware it's going to be sold or is in the market, at a minimum.

The user I did make the trade with claimed he did not receive the name instantly after I released it. I guess my question is, is there any recourse for me at all? I'm not so fussed about the name itself at this point as I am a "reputable" user getting away with something simply because it's not provable unless they get extremely careless about their scam.

I don't deal in names, but I know there a way you can recover the name.
because the name market full of scammers etc, it fucking stupid market imo,
I could be logged in second account when buying it from you snipe it on alt and just say I didn't get it.

    but
you could attempt to recover it
    You could attempt that.

    * Help * I was hacked and asshole changed my name.

An attempt was made, but they(jagex) informed me that since I was the one who released the name, that it's on me and I can't do anything about it. I guess using a VPN to change the name is a viable solution, but it's too late for that at least for me. But it also opens the door to a seller scamming the name too. You're right about the market being stupid. I'm not even sure how it can reasonably exist if names are being sniped with the 'reputable' crowd doing the sniping.
