Introduction
At Sythe.org, we face a variety of challenges when it comes to our users. Some of them are things like scamming and abuse, while others are things like support. While Sythe.org is a user-driven forum, we still have to offer our users support so we can help them with their issues. The question, however, is always: how can we do this efficiently so that we make the most out of our staff's time and get our users' problems solved? Traditionally, we have relied on PMs and a Support forum, but these are only so effective...

That's where we come to our new support system:

What is Sythe.org LiveHelp?
Sythe.org LiveHelp is a live chat system which allows you, our users, to chat one on one with a Sythe.org staff member instantly and securely. There's no MSN or AIM addresses to exchange, no imposters to worry about, and the chats are instant. You get the help you need, when you need it.

What is Sythe.org LiveHelp for?
The purpose of the LiveHelp system is to help users with general inquiries and issues. Here are some issues we can help you with using LiveHelp:

Questions about the Sythe.org rules.

Scammer and Spammer Reports.

Donations.

Bans and Infractions.

General Site Questions.

And more!

With that said, however, there are a few things we cannot help you with using LiveHelp such as advertising questions and ban disputes. Also, keep in mind you still need to read the site's stickies and rules! We cannot sit with you for an hour writing your scammer report, for example.

How does Sythe.org LiveHelp work?
Using LiveHelp is quite simple. The system we have chosen is easy to use and we have customized it so that it's integrated into Sythe.org. This means you just click the help button, and you're all set. You don't have to log in again and you don't need a separate account; you don't even need to type your username in!

To use Sythe.org LiveHelp:

Make sure your are logged into Sythe.org.

Click a LiveHelp button.

Enter your question into the "Initial Question" box.

Click "Start Chat"!

Here are some examples of what the LiveHelp system looks like:

1. This note is important, please read it!
2. Your username is automatically filled in for you!
3. Your initial question should give us a description of what you need help with.

1. Click the "Close" button to end your chat.
2. You can see when the operator is typing a response.
3. This is the Send Message button. You can also just type your message and press enter.

Conclusion
We hope you all leverage Sythe.org LiveHelp and benefit from the system. We think you will enjoy being able to get help faster and also to be able to speak with a staff member one on one. Just keep in mind the system requires that you be logged into Sythe.org and that you not be banned.
