My friends and I heard about a party that happened in an abandoned house last week and it sounded kind of cool so we wanted to check this place out. We went there and found it in the woods in a county park. We went in, and looked around. It was a fucking mess. Then we went around the back of the house to look around in the shed. When we came out front to leave, there were two cops walking towards us, one with a knife. They start questioning us about what we were doing, checked our I.D.s, and searched us. When asked if we had been inside the house, we said yes. They said that we could be arrested for burglary and criminal trespassing as well as charging us for all the damage done to the house (which we obviously didn't do). They took down all of our information and told us to go straight home. They pretty much told us that we were going to jail.
Were they bullshitting us, or can they actually charge us for all that just because we were the only ones that they found there.
