Report - Saint Joseph

Please close this. Joseph has repaid me 750M Rs3 and I believe he really did try his best but still wasnt able to fulfill the entire agreement. I dont think hes a bad guy and I am content with receiving a partial refund.

 

I wrote you a script that:
- Finds stakes
- Calculates odds for the challenge
- Adds challenger to a virtual ignore list if the odds aren't good enough
- Doesn't accept challenges that are before a declined challenge
- Accepts good challenges (in a blink of how long it would take compared to you calcing odds on your own)
- Does ALL of the interface stuff for staking
- Sets up rules and doesn't get scammed
- Sets up money and doesn't get scammed
- Accepts final screen and declines if it somehow got scammed in the other 2 screens
- How do I know? You did everything you could to break the script!!!
- After setting up the stake - it fights the opponent and gets the first hit (Ping/PiD permitting)
- Waits until the fight is over and after the fight will count whether you won or lost and close whichever screen came up
- Counts wins and losses
- Loops through all aforementioned functions for the entirety of the runtime


The rush service was for me to fix the hiscores function... a function which was broken in Aerolib and provided a hurdle for the initial script creation.

Walking was not even mentioned until I had finished the script and everything else was working! As a courtesy I focused my efforts on writing you a walking function!. I even wrote a walking function that stayed inside the duel house but since it didn't go to the "right spot", you told me it was no good. So me "pulling code out of my bag of tricks" would be referring to me coding a walking procedure for literally the hardest area in the entire game. I even offered you a portioned refund after you said you wanted a refund.

But you wanted 100m.

Lets think about this. You gave me 225M total for this script. 225 - 50 for the rush on the hiscores fix. Now we are at 175. You paid 50M for exclusivity- which is a really great deal I might add. Other staking scripts on other forums are not cheap. Hell you could buy a couple of staking calculators for what this script cost you and forget about automation. Now that you have the script you don't want exclusivity... should have seen this coming. 175 - 50 is 125M for the script no extras no nothing; just the script. And you want 100M refund for walking? So the staking portion of the script- keyword "Staking" in "Staking script", is only worth 25M? The staking part of the script works and it works very well. 100M refund is pretty absurd for a script that does all that was asked and then when you asked for walking and I continued to work on it you decide to do this. I'm hurt that you think I'm ripping you off, the fact of the matter is that I am busy working on find a way to reliably walk using only color in the hardest area of Runescape in specific spots of a small house. Not only that but I wrote this script for probably the lowest quote you could get from any coder, most of which might not be able to do what I managed to do.

And as for "avoiding you for days as usual", I do have a life outside of sythe. I not always on skype to see if a customer contacted me. I check usually 2-3 times per day and besides that I am either at work, or writing code. I get people asking me for scripts just about every day, the business that I turned away while writing this script is disappointing to me because I could have had a few happy customers in the time it took me to harvest 1 unhappy one. Sometimes I would go on to check skype after a few hours and come back to 20+ messages from Sunset about this or that. Sometimes it wasn't even script related! Some times it wasn't even Runescape related! I'm nobody's social slave, if I don't reply in 5 minutes its possible I'm not online. I'm not ignoring you, and I'm not talking to other people either.

Listen. I'm still working on this walking fix despite there being nothing in it for me, and whatever tarnishing you've done to my reputation already. Even if I get a DNT or TWC I'll still work on it. At this moment you've disappointed me, but that doesn't mean I won't fulfill an obligation.

You said I told you about walking after you completed the script and accepted payment? Which would mean I told you about walking after June 14th right?

WRONG. You are blatantly lying because in this screenshot on June 10th, hours after u sent me the first version (without bug fixes) I mentioned to you that it cud be lured away and it was a major bug. You spent X hours ATTEMPTING to fix something you know couldnt be done without reflection. You merely did it for the money or to fulfill your ego.

Please stop lying and making a fool of yourself. Within the timeframe of fixing my script you took other jobs and completed jobs for other persons. This is bad business. I want a refund.



Now you say:

What you mean continue to work on it even tho there is nothing for you? You receive FULL payment, a bug was found in the script (#3) In the Gyazo and you were NOT able to fix it in any way, shape or form. You make it seem like I am begging you to do something for free. The case is you got paid to do a complicated job you knew was difficult, you tried for hours and could not do it.

 

Also a note to whoever is dealing with this case: I am fine with him keeping all the payment and closing this report providing he can solve the bug which he has been trying to fix for the PAST TWO weeks and provides ongoing bug support (future) as we initially agreed.I dont mind waiting a day and you can hold him that or make him refund. Otherwise it's pointless waiting, he will just keep stalling for time and "having a social life" while he is already enjoying my gp. The bug in the script prevents it from being able to run in away what unattended. Simply because all someone has to do is challenge the bot, and run away and the bot will follow them to wherever they run and it will not return. This is basically the same as his calculator which he has previously sold me for 25M. So basically what he had to do for this bot was add stuff onto the calculator which seemed to be way out of his knowledge scope. As it stands he thinks he shud be paid 3/4 money for finishing 3/4 of the script? How is that logical. Its like saying I made it to wave 60 in an inferno cape, died, so I shud still receive 75% payment cuz wave 60 is 75% of the cape, regardless of not obtaining the cape. He knows the script can only be fixed with reflection but he avoids it because he knows it will break every update and he will have to refix so he fooled me with an alternative using Aerolib which clearly cannot work. Feel free to ask any knowledgeable scripter.

Also he knows I am not able to run the script nor has he ever seen my accounts in the arena running otherwise he would say "You're using it and trying to scam" which is definitely not the case since the script is unreliable and broken.

 

Well this was a lot of horsepoop but I want to comment.

2. Sunset claims that Joseph promised him walking without reflection (I would assume because some of the hooks are broken, as I see no picture saying that Joseph will only make the walking in AeroLib).

   This is false, not only does Rare Scripts not say it can't be done, but it can be using
   AeroLib/core/minimap/Walker at master · J-Flight/AeroLib · GitHub (At least when I've used it in the past)
   
   
3. Having coded stakers before, I would say that this indeed a bug and annoying one at that. Is it worth 25m, 50, 100, a whole refund? I'm not sure. It is possible to break it down and say he bought this for 25m, this for 50m, walking is only 25m and thats all that should be refunded.
   
   However I don't believe this should be the case. Sunset paid for a working script with his requirements and by accepting that job, Joseph agreed to those requirements, some of which are in this picture Gyazo - be6a45a06fa1ee2771488f94a00db13f.png
   
   There are two outcomes in my mind. Either Joseph finishes the script in an appropriate time frame, paying 25m a week to Sunset until the script is finished (up to the original price paid to him for the script). Or he finds another Simba scripter to do it on his own dime and out of the money paid to him by Sunset. It is not Sunset's job to find someone to complete Joseph's work, Joseph needs to be the one to contract that work out if he cannot do it himself.
   
   From his reponses, he does acknowledge that he will continue working on the script. I think that this decision should be agreeable by both parties but will leave it up to any mods to determine what comes next.
