should we really be allowed to see this?
i mean...
i might go give the person abuse who reports my posts
i'm obviously not going to but i easily found out which posts were reported by who...

I can't see why not, I've personally reported hundreds of posts and never had a complaint, if you're that bothered to check them all and complain to me, unless I'm in the wrong I'll tell you to grow up and deal with it. If they hadn't have made the mistake in the past the report wouldn't have been made.

Also, it's like seeing the RaSc archives, it can actually help in some situations.

my fault in the first place, if we can see the archive why no let us see the 'ongoing' reported topics then? if that makes sense aha
either way... we'd see the topic anyway as it would end up in the archive... ^_^

edit: btw i didn't check them all i just looked at the time of my infraction and went to the only thread that was at that time aha, i was curious 'cause it says 'private' once they've been deleted. ;p

 

I think that ongoing un-dealt reports go straight to Report a Spammer, which we can no longer see, and then once they're sorted it becomes RaSp. It's incase PM's etc are reported and some info needs removing first.

Well, I don't think there is a reason to not see it, I feel that if a person doesn't want to get infracted that they shouldn't break the rules. The person whom is reporting the post has done nothing wrong as they aren't the ones that spammed or whatever the case maybe.

 

It doesn't really matter who reports you because in the end no matter who does, if the post is infraction worthy, it will receive an infraction or a warning. If no one ends up reporting it you got lucky

 

It's useul for users to be able to gauge which staff members are active and which aren't. I doubt anyone's that mad over an infraction that they'd hunt down who reported the post, chances are they're in the wrong any way.

If the threads remained hidden, mods would have to spend extra time pm'ing people if the posts they reported were in fact, not reportable. It's very helpful being able to post the reasons for your handling of a spam report in the report itself. Also, if someone's going to be offended because their post got reported, the simplest solution would be for them to follow the rules from the start

it was only a warning anyways i was just curious as what the warning was for seen as though it doesn't say.



and seen as though i made quite a few posts that day i was to find out what the warning was for ^_^ aha

thought i'd make a discussion bout it that is all lol.

 

It would be nice if you could search in RaSP again. If you go to search in it, it automatically goes to "search all forums". If you search in RaSC overall, you are able to find your posts but it's a bit cumbersome.

 

You may call it as you wish, but bottom line is the forum looks a lot neater without spam all over the place. That is just my opinion about it though.

It's not visible on the homepage, but anyone can see it if they go to somebody's last posts or threads.

Why is it not visible on the homepage? It took me quite a while to find it when I was new. Should be a sub-forum in Report a Scammer.

 

It's because report a spammer is hidden for staff only and it's a subsection of that hidden section.

 

So I need to bookmark the link? Best way for me to work around?

 

Pretty much or just search your own threads and click the sub-section in the search results. It's always been there, just not on the front page.
