Renting my staker got my account locked for fraud

Hello there. I wanted to bring up this topic as a warning to people who rent out their accounts, or just lend them to people, and possibly receive some advice too. I rented out my staking account to a guy who added me on discord, let him go on it for the hour he payed for then changed the password. When i came back to my account the next day, i realized that it had been locked. I found out the reason for this was that almost $200 had been spent on my runescape account(presumably on bonds) and then charged back. This has resulted in my account being locked, and i have little to no way to get it back seeing as account sharing is not allowed, and i have no way of proving it wasnt me(it seems they cant see the ip's of who's logged on as the support said they had no evidence that someone else had hacked into my account). This has resulted me losing the money which i invested into the account, which for me is a lot of money seeing as i go to Uni and have to pay a lot of rent.

So the real message of this post is to just be careful, there are some absolute dickheads out there who will do this kind of stuff on purpose.

 

Oh wow , thanks for letting me know ! I was thinking of renting out a maxed combat acc . I suppose that's the reason people take insurance when they rent out .

 

God you'd think people would be a bit nicer to someone who just got scammed out of a $100+ but you know
