More Guider Verifiers!

Currently, there are tons of un-verified guides and I feel that more people should be able to verify them. Because many people have told me they cannot get it verified, I think it would be great for users to at least submit applications or something in order to become a guide verifier.

 

We've mulled this over as staff more than once. For some reason, nothing has been done about it.

 

I agree with this, my guide got shat on since no one verified it in time and other users were selling it and nothing could be done as neither were verified.

It has been brought up multiple times like Kero said, I'm not sure with the staff, but in the suggestion forums and nothing has been done.

 

Support, and I currently have a proposition in SL about reforming the guides section, hopefully it gets looked at soon.

 

Just like you have to apply for OMM, I would mind doing a guide verifier application

It would just clear up alot of the mods time, not having to worry about these type of issues

 

There's not really a way to quantify the ability to verify guides, unfortunately. However, Nate's proposal does involve a selection process and would likely involve non-staff to lessen the load.

And there are a lot of people waiting for guide verifications.

I think an actual RANK, would be ideal too.

 

My proposal would allow non staff members to be selected and try out for the verifier position, however it would come with no rank.

 

Yeah, not having a mod do it would be good. Many mods are also OMM's, or managing other things like being a UE, I think piling a verification duty ontop would just be too much.

EDIT - How would trying out for this position work? It isn't really something you can apply for as there isn't anything you can do to provide experience.

 

Well mods could still be part of the OGV team, however it would also give non staffers a chance to step up to some responsibility.

Support, there should be more guide verifiers. I'm sure moderators have a lot of duties to perform.

 

If there were to be no rank involved, I'm guessing there would be a sticky in the guide section, with the user's name and profile or something?

Probably would be the way it is now, but with a few more verifiers.

Can I be a verifier

Off topic, but why aren't dung xp and staking guides allowed? I know recently there have been a mass amount being sold that have been leaked, but in a few months somebody might find one that works and won't be allowed to sell it.

Maybe take it off the list after all the glitches that are currently being sold are patched?

 

always the potential to amend the list later, but for now to avoid the leakage I added them.

 

Would be nice. Though a lot of guides require reqs like quests high lvls accs that were created years ago etc. Are these things taken into account with current guide verifiers?

 

If there are reqs for the guide and the guide verifier doesn't have them he shouldn't be allowed to verify it or say "Works in theory." They need to actually try the guide imo. There are a few non staff members that are verifiers but not many people seem to be verifying atm :/
