Issues with refunding a customer

Hi ill start by quoting the original post since I can't add to it I've had to recreate it.

" Hi after a dispute was filed we came to the conclusion that I owe a user a refund but I can't contact him since he hasn't been on Skype in nearly two months and I can't message him via the site because or the ban. Is it possible to pay the owed money to a moderator and then refund him if he ever becomes active?

Today he came on Skype and I managed to initiate a conversation with him which I will post below. I initially just offered to meet and refund him now to get this matter closed but he quickly became hostile and demanded I pay him a considerable amount more with no justification.

Where can I go from here to resolve this dispute if he won't accept the refund?

 

We do normally require refunds to be made in today's rates. If he's correct in saying that you owe him that amount based on prices, I'm afraid he's fair enough.

Can you add me on Skype so we can resolve this. He isn't asking for todays rates he is asking for double that and that's all he will say to me so I can't get anywhere towards offering him a refund.

If 500k was 10/m back then, you would owe him approximately 1.7m in today's rates.

 

He refused all payment. He wanted double what he's entitled to or nothing. You're free to pardon.
