True, in most cases they are trying to improve the community, and deserve respect. However, some cops are complete dicks.

Bad side of the police are the ones that cop your shit. (Like on superbad, the cops are fine but then that guy spits on them so he knocks him out with his police batton).

Also if you get pulled up by the police and you complain then they search your car for things such as a scratch on your windscreen which they can also give you a ticket for.

 

Alot of them are on power trips.

 

yeah, what you're saying would only be true if cops didnt think they are bigger and better than everyone else. you think a cop has never been out with friends and went past the speed limit? id laugh at you if you thought so, and when that happened, i betcha he didn't right a ticket up for himself. almost all cops ive been think they are the shit, and laws cut them out to be.

 

Cops can be helpful, or they can be complete bitches. All depends on what city your in and your ethnicity.

 

I'd say about half the cops are good/doing their job and half are total dicks/are doing their job TOO well. I have no respect for the bad half.

 

Fuck that. 80% of cops are Nazi's (Shaved heads, racist, don't care about human life, are only cops so they can legally shoot and harm people (Also called small dick syndrome) and they love it even more that their dogs are german shepards) The whole judical system including cops/courts is left unchecked. They think they can do what ever they want. You're sitting theyre not doing anything wrong, and you tell them that, but, thats not enough for them, they shoot you and get out theyre trow down gun put it in your hands. Then they go out and get a paid vacation(while they investigate) and you're dead. (It's funny how cops investigate themselfs, wow.)

Cops can be cool but it all depends on what you get caught doing. why try to fight it if you are the one doing it. if you speed you know in the back of your mind you are going to get caught.

A cop planted 7 grams of cocaine on my dad. (Yes, I was there I saw the whole thing) We got pulled over for having out fishing poles semi stickign out of the car window. When my dad started arguing with whim. He said I want to search the car. "I said you have no right to search us. All he said was I have reasonable doubt and you'll eb arrested if you don't comply. Next thing I know he "found cocaine in the trunk" I know it wasn't there cuase I loaded the trunk before we left with out cooler.

I saw a man get knocked out by a night stick when he was jogging down the road. As he ran by the cop the cop hit him. For no reason.

I saw a cop try to take my friend behind a building in the park after we got caught there after hours. (Idk, what he was gonna do) But, when he's partner rode up he stopped.

A 75 year old women in a wheel chair was killed when a cop tased her cuase she was wavign aroudn a hammer.

There are very few towns where cops will find illegals crossing the border... I'm mainly talking about big city cops that pull African Americans (Blacks) over late at night assuming they have drugs/alcohol or whatnot. You even said so yourself... "they find illegals crossing the border, and they happen to see a latino, or a person with mexican coloring, it is their natural instinct to stop and question that person."... That's racism my friend, they are judging a race. And don't get me started on some of the sexual harrassment cops get away with, and some goes unreported.

I'm not saying all cops are like this, that's why in my previous statement I said some. "We try not to...", are you a police officer or have something to do with the law? Just curious...

And looking at that Steven/Pamela comparison, it's not the same thing as what we're talking about, considering Pamela is probabely in a porno magazine, and Steven is probabely in a science magazine. So it depends... in a porn magazine, you want to see naked chicks, so I guess "intelligent writing" is naked pictures.

I guess it depends on your country since in Australia most the cops are pretty cool. Its like a classroom, you throw glue at the blackboard and the teacher turns around and says who did it? you have about 94% who say nothing coz they don't care, the 4% who did it so ofcourse won't say anything and then you have the 2% that are nerds and tell on you. The 94% are cool, the 4% are bad, the 2% are tight asses.
