Relationship related depression

I've always been slightly depressed (diagnosed, taking meds and starting therapy this month) but since starting uni in the UK it has gotten a lot worse.

Around a month into the first semester I fell in love with a coursemate that's completely out of my reach and ever since then I haven't been able to be myself. We're friends and she is all I ever think about but she's unavailable (she has a boyfriend, not to mention I'm not from the UK). Knowing that I stand no chance with her and still having to see and spend time with her nearly every day has massively escalated my depression, which has in turn pretty much brought my life to a halt, I'm struggling to keep up with coursework and I've become extremely apathetic towards most things, including my course and friends. I no longer take any pleasure in activities I used to enjoy and lack the will to perform even basic everyday tasks. Basically my entire existence is centered around her and she doesn't even know it. I'm going to bring this up in my next counselling session but I doubt talking to someone is going to help me solve this problem.

I'm transferring courses next year in order to get away from her but I still have a few months to go until then. Any ideas how to get through this year without going completely crazy?

Try to situate yourself to meet other girls. Go out drinking with friends and meet new girls, eventually you will get over this one.

You say you're not from the UK.. do you mean she is unreachable because you are an exchange student and have to go back to your home country eventually?

Looks like you're in the friendzone.
Once you're in there, it's very hard to get out of it. I've heard of very few people who have successfully un-friendzoned themselves.

Tell us, how does she treat you?
My guesses are that she treats you like a doormat; confessing all her hardship to you and telling you about other assholes.

My recommendations:
1. Don't confess your feelings to her.
She'll probably tell you that she only likes you as a friend, and things can get awkward from that point.
2. Like KMJT said, meet other women.
Do it alone or with your mates, it doesn't matter. If you meet other beautiful women, then you will have a hard time focusing on one.
3. Don't make yourself so available.
Don't be there to listen to her problems all the time.
Don't be so nice.
Tell her that you've got other friends or women to meet and actually meet them.

Just go to parties, Socialise dont give up but play hard to get when she comes chasing.
