Tattoo - can I get one? and help?

Basically I want a tattoo, I am 16, I know it has to be MY choice and my style, but I can't find any designs on the internet that have excited me as such.

I have Psoriasis, and its pretty much all over my body.. except the front of my forearm, and is it possible to tattoo over the psoriasis, basically its a dry skin condition, red patch, which sometimes has flakey, it isn't really flakey though, just red, I have had treatments for this, none work.

I want something that looks cool, and isn't massively common, like stars, I don't have anything sentimental, like a family member, sports team, I just want a picture or a pattern or such, I really do like the stars, where people have 3 of different size, but its too common.

Also, how much does it hurt? have you anything to compare it too? (on the forearm)

I do NOT want people to say "don't get a tattoo, it'll look crappy when your old", no-one looks good old, so I don't care

 

I have a full sleeve then about 2 years later I got severe plaque psorisis all over my body like your describing for one it's lucky that the patches are above the ink so it didn't harm any of my existing tattoos but from my experience wait till it clears up before you get one becuase since a tattoo is an open wound it could actualy develop in to phsyrosis .

Just go to a dermatologist and get him to prescribe you something I've been on my current medication for about 6 months and it's about 90% gone

 

Also to ask your docter about methotrexate its worked wonders for me when nothing else did

 

Man I fucking hate it, I have to hide it by wearing long sleeve t-shirts and jeans, and its the summer..

Other peoples seem to think its funny to take the piss.

 

a buddy of mine has this bad and has multiple tattoo's all look fine they look a little odd the days it's especially bad but you should be fine as for your design thats all on you if you have a general idea of what you want more so then you could post a topic to have people help you find something that is more you.

 

I think I'll just spend a few months medicating it while I think of an idea, thanks guys.

 

Where do you live? Because where I live you have to be 18 to get a tattoo, so IMO no, you shouldn't get one if it's underage

 

Some places you can actually get one if you are underage, they just need your parents permission.

 

YOu need to be over 18 and to have someone over 21 with you for most places.

 

I have three, I'm 18. At first I didn't know what to expect then when the tattooed started I didn't even notice until he said that he started.

I thought it would hurt but it just feels like needles are constantly going in and out (DUH!) but it DOESN'T HURT. It's more of a "DAMN I CAN'T WAIT UNTIL THIS IS OVER!" feeling.

One tattoo is a little bit above my wrist on my forearm, the other is below the bending point where your arm and your elbow are connected, and the last one is a half sleeve on my shoulder.

Remember, regret nothing, think about it. No one wants to regret a tattoo, ever.

All this "16 with parental permission" is bollocks, it's 18. If they want to tattoo you, they're probably not very good.

 

Wait till you're 18, I was glad I did.

 

With regards to your psoriasis, it really would depend on how severe it is. I also suffer with this and want a tattoo in the near future.

 

Don't pick some design off the internet. If your going to get a tattoo go to a real professional where you can describe what you want and he/she will be able to draw you a sketch. Also another thought is your only 16 if you get a tattoo now your probably not going to like it when your older.

 

You should get a butterfly design on your lower back. I'm sure that will attract the girls.

 

Most places require you to be 18, if they don't I still recommend you wait till your 18. Also don't pick something off the internet, get a tattoo that has meaning to you, you will end up usually not regretting it when you are older.

 

honestly dude, i have a motto that if you can't decide what tattoo you should get, you probably shouldn't get any. i understand that you wanna cover up your Psoriasis but just wait till you think of something that really means somethin' to ya, then get the tattoo, instead of just some ugly ass design or something. unless that design happens to be hella badass
