Requesting a way of vouching! >Suggestion<

I think that all vouches should have the sellers/buyers name in it. For example: if I was to vouch for sythe, I would say vouch for sythe, sold me blablabla!

This should be to stop fake vouches and forging, along with probably lowering the scam rate.

If someone vouches saying like "vouch for this guy!" it can easily be forged to a newcomer who feels like scamming someone and makes them look more trusted then they are.


Tell me what you guys think!


EDIT: I've been reading your guys comments, and I thought I'd change this suggestion to, you cant quote vouches, they need to be on your vouch thread. Agreed now?

 

Or my suggestion would be make a rule where people can only vouch for people on their vouch thread. This wouldn't completely stop fake vouchers but it would make a difference to the once who takes peoples posts quote them and edit them to look like a vouch. Which is what I have been seeing lately in the scam reports.

I don't think you get what I am saying if they post it on your vouch thread you cannot change what they wrote only if it's quoted which i don't think should be allowed that way there's no way they can edit what the person said.

 

Oh I get it, people can't put their vouches in their original vouch thread posts, all the vouches can only be written by the buyer.

 

If I wanted to fake vouch, I'd just edit anybody's post to say 'vouch for superman.' This suggestion wouldn't stop fake vouching at all.

 

This doesn't stop fake vouching at all, the only way you can confirm that a vouch is legit is by reading the actual post.

 

Hence why i said quoting of vouches should not be allowed. It should only be the OP on the vouch thread as a suggestion to this.

 

I don't understand this at all. I'm the OP in my vouch thread, if I wanted to fake vouch I'd copy your post, as I am now, and edit it to say Vouch for superman.

 

What he saying is, that people can change stuff to whatever they likenin quotes
Without it, ops of threads can't change peoples comments

 

Sorry I didn't explain properly what I meant was. You should not be allowed to quote vouches on your vouch thread. Meaning they have to post their vouch for you on your vouch thread no where else meaning it's not quoted from anywhere else. It's only them posting it on your vouch thread.

OK now i understand what you were trying to say and... it's not a bad idea but that's not programmable i don't think that this is possible.

 

If I had a shop, I'd want all the vouches from the gold buyers to be on the thread. In fact, I direct people away from my vouch thread when they vouch me.

 

This, when you have a business you want all your vouches placed on that business thread to show the leigtmacy of your business. Not everyone looks straight at vouch threads.

 

Well that's something I do is only look at their vouch thread quotes mean nothing to me. I think vouches should only be allowed on the vouch thread and not in a signature. I also believe they should be allowed to be posted on any other thread other then the vouch thread. Also i wasen't talking about programming anything so idk what you're talking about lol.

 

If i have a gold selling thread, i'd probably also like to have all my vouches on there.
however you could always post a link to you're vouches thread?
