For all you lurers out there.

This is no dispute thread, infact, i lure myself. What i wanted to ask is, how do you feel after you've lured a person. I mean, a few weeks back i got my first big lure. A dragon platebody, obtained through a chinchompa lure. The victim was a nice guy, considering the fact that he was willing to help. After the lure was done, i remember him say "I was only trying to help.". This made me sad for a reason, probably because of the time and effort he put into getting that platebody. Meh, what was your first big lure, and how did you feel after you did it?

 

this is exactly why I can't lure.. I feel bad as soon as I take their stuff

 

I don't lure, because I really can't. I would feel so bad and give back whatever the item is

 

If i lured someone who seemed genuine and nice, i'd also feel very bad.

 

I don't feel that bad, if you're that stupid to walk in red portal/wild with your bank, you should lose the items. Regardless of how smooth talking the talker is, you still know that something is about to happen.

 

Fist big lure was full bandos, claws, fury, blue mask, ect.

I had the kid added for about 3 days talking to him...Then came the time for me and my clan to lure him. This was the ONE and ONLY time I actually felt sad inside. I felt as though I had just lured my best friend.

Considering this though, I do not normally feel to bad. Its either kill or be killed.

 

Love the sig. I personally couldn't lure, although my friends lure and try to get me to help

 

Had a couple of big lures, never really thought about how I felt about it after. Might be dead inside haha.

 

I would personally only lure if a). I was the killer, or b). The person was just being greedy tbh.

 

I think everybody should feel atleast a little bit remorseful when they lure somebody, otherwise you are just a cold, heartless bastard.

No matter what your stance on luring is, at the end of the day the result is essentially always the same; you scam/trick somebody out of their hard earned cash, usually taking advantage of their naivety, their good nature, and their willingness to help others.

I have never been lured before, but I can only imagine the feeling of just trying to be a genuinely helpful, good natured Runescape player (the type of players that are in short supply these days, by the way), and instead you get tricked and scammed out of your bank by the very person/people that you were trying to help. It would be a horrible feeling, regardless of the fact Runescape is "just a game."

Would you backstab somebody like that in real life? Would you set them up and betray them, for some miniscule personal gain? The chances are that you probably wouldn't, so no matter if Runescape is just a game or not, you are still harming another human being by taking advantage of them in the worst way possible.

Incase anybody is wondering - yes, I have in fact lured myself a few times. Not the kind of lure where I merely trick somebody in the wilderness to follow me into multi or something like that, but the kind of lure where I befriended the person, gaining their trust and then tricking them in order to gain some wealth. Each person was absolutely devestated, and I did feel horrible.

 

This day in the game with all the warnings and stuff, you should know not to bring your bank into dangerous items.. Plus, everyone should know not to trust a random person on the internet. Especially on a game like RS.

Never lured much on Rs, lured a pretty good bit on Private servers, and it was usualy random people or someone I really disliked. If you're my friend, you're my friend.

 

It's the same everywhere. If you want to get somewhere, be ready to screw people over. Just gotta make out for yourself what's important to you

You shouldn't feel surprised when you feel bad after luring them. After all, you are interacting with human beings, and if RS hasn't left you completely emotionless, you're bound to feel some degree of remorse for tricking someone into thinking they were helping you.

At the same time, both parties need to realize it's just a damned computer game and shouldn't get so emotional over it.

 

What's all the BS about feelings and feeling bad? If anyone actually feels bad about luring over an online game, you honestly need to sort your lives out. It is a game, and anyone that gets emotionally involved within it needs to sort their life out!

 

If you feel bad after luring someone, luring isn't for you. The point in luring is to take kids banks. I've lured around 10 bando sets, which isn't to exetreme but also not small, I've stopped luring now as my partner tried to lure me but failed.

 

Never lured anybody / Been lured myself, can't imagine how dumb you would have to be to get tricked into that IMO.

 

One time, this guy tried to lure me with a korasi-lure.I clawed him out, and he lost his chaotic. I felt bad, but not a lot because he was a retard for trying to lure me.

 

I've lured this guy for 2bil, I didn't feel bad. Sometimes for other cheap lures like 150m I feel bad, I guess it depends on the victim's personality and what mood I'm in.

 

I just feel Sad For lurers.
