Runescape not working on Mac?

hello,

Ever since the last runescape update, I haven't been able to play runescape on my mac because it keeps quitting every time I click auto setup. Anyone know how to fix this?

 

Have you tried downloading Runescape client?

 

I have a Mac and use the runescape client, try that instead of straight off the website.

I don't use my ol macbook anymore, but for the sake of this I fired 'er up.

I don't have any issues playing whatsoever. Once my graphics settings are set where I need them, they stay. (which is pretty low, given the weak videocards in macbooks)

The only thing I notice that's different from playing on my windows PC is that when I go to the webpage; once it begins to load the game itself, the applet launches in a separate window from the webpage... instead of opening in the webpage itself.

 

Not only does working from the client work, if you don't click auto-setup, it's always worked for me.

 

hmm.. it started happening right after runescape had an update. Now whenever the game finishes loading it doesnt give me any other options besides clicking auto setup.

Ya having the same problem, been using the RS Client

 

happens to me on my windows 7 pc.

 

jagex screwed us all over, and I think the reason client doesn't work is because of my router, and I'd rather not mess with that. Can anyone figure out a solution to get the webclient working?

 

i eventually just started working for me.
I'm not sure what I did to fix it.

 

did you switch to older versions of java?

 

Update: Those annoying derps at jagex finally realized and fixed it!!
