Virus/spyware help.

-My uncle has started living with us, and has been using our computer for the past few days.... He fucked everything up.

-He does online dating and i checked the history and thers a ton of fucking dating sites and stuff so it has to be from that.

Now random ads and pages will open up in mozilla, AVG is freaking out saying threat detected every 5 minutes...and the computer is veryyyy slow.

How do i find out what is wrong if dont know what he downloaded or anything? I am running an AVG computer scan but is that good enough? wtf do i do............... =/

 

dont download any antispyware usaully they give u viruses so my tip is eatheir restore u computer,get only reliable spyware programs for ex:spyware search and destroy is very reliable or u can just scan ur comp and find the file that contains the virus and dealete it permenantly gl

 

You should teach him how to use a computer so he doesn't download any more porn-viruses . The AVG scan probably won't pick up everything, so here's what I suggest in addition:

Spybot S&D - Download, install, update, run full scan.

HouseCall - after the AVG scan use this web-based scanner.

 

Alright thanks guys, avg didnt pick up anything in the scan but it still keeps coming up with a "Threat detected!" every so often.

 

try to use the disk thing that resets the whole computer if nothing else works.

 

If you want to block some sites so you uncle cant get on that might prevent future happenings.

Also turn your internet security and antivirus to "HIGH"

If you are open with you uncle tell him not to click popups because they are usually viruses. Tell him to stick to websites and to not click the adverts.
