Recovering Accounts?

Anyways, buying accounts from sources on Sythe that aren't as trusted as others can be tough. You may be afraid of them getting the account back. I have this same fear.

My question is: if you buy an account without JAG, and you set the JAG yourself, can they recover the account back?

 

If they are original owner they can always recover the account back

 

yeah as long as they provide main info like creation details, early passwords, payment info ect and they're the original owner they probably can recover it

There's not one moment an account can't be recovered if you're the original owner.

This is why you must deal with trusted users who have incentive not to do this.

 

Accounts should always be recovered,i've been trying to recover and old account i made back in the day for the username login attached but i cannot seem to get it back, keep coming back denied.

 

Accounts can ALWAYS be recovered by the original owner. All they have to do is email Jagex billing with previous membership info and claim they've been hacked and Jagex will allow them to reset their password.

 

Like everyone has said, it doesn't matter if you they provide you with EVERYTHING, they can still recover it. This is why people with no rep on Sythe have such trouble selling accounts, newcomers always recover accounts. You can prevent recovery by purchasing from someone with lots of vouches, etc.

 

Even with all the details, you wouldn't be able to recover it successfully. They will lock the account on suspicion of it being hacked or the account being sold. It's never a good idea to buy an account from anyone.

 

Even if you change email on account to your own, change password, set your own JAG accounts are still recoverable and if account gets locked you wont be able to recover it as account recovers are IP based.

 

Not 100% but if you live in a close location the the seller, or submit a recovery report using a vpn and you've been given some legitimate details, with you setting the jag gaurdian the first time it isn't impossible just requires a decent looking recovery request.

 

This is why I'm glad I just made my own account. Not having to deal with the hassle of getting the account recovered, or the worries about it. Unless of course you buy from a trusted seller. Hence what the guy said up there. Newcomer's are such a higher risk of recovering the account.

 

Accounts unfortunately can be recovered if the person has a decent amount of details, especially the old ones (creation date and all that), which is why I tend to stay clear of buying one

 

Accounts can always be recovered no matter what, even if you have the JAG, Email registered, and the recovery questions.
