Received RWT Ban After Selling Gold to Sythe Member

Hey guys,
I haven't played RS much over the last few months. I sold one of my accounts for around 520M. A day or two later, I sold the gold to a big Sythe gold buyer/seller. We did several trades, put junk in trades, etc.

I'm really struggling to figure out how this happened. Does anyone have any similar experiences?
Anything I can say to appeal? It was my maxed main / original account. Even though I don't really play anymore, I'm still really bummed out.

 

Selling gold to a big sythe gold seller/buyer is a redflag by itself as their accounts are probably flagged. I'm not surprised you received a ban. Your best bet is to hope the IP you got banned from isn't your regular home IP, could pretend that you got hacked.

 

Never use your main account to transfer the gold, especially amounts like 500m.. Create a mule/multiple mules when you're doing this. Atleast you got banned after you sold the gold.

 

Use a VPN mate

 

I know I know. I’ve just always been told that amounts under $1B are so small they wouldn’t care, I’m not a seller so they’re not after accounts like mine, etc. etc. I’ve sold hundreds of mils on my other accounts many times and never had any issues. Just couldn’t believe it.

Any chance of an unban? First offense too.. sucks.

No sir. Read / been told, time and time again that anything in low(ish) amounts chances are slim. Also nothing to worry about for people who casually buy/sell. I've been here for 11 years and have seen that countless times. Oh well.

Same question asked again - any chances of unban?

 

My main was banned when I was running a bot farm and transfer'd a lot of money to it. I sold gold obviously but anything over 200m I put on to a mule so it's not the exact same situation but I was able to get unbanned and it was a perm for Macro Major. I had at least put well over a few bill on to my main over the course of a month or so that I had started putting cash on to it.

I know that it's not that helpful but if the account has been logged in on another IP recently I'd probably try sending in a email (My main wasn't even allowed to appeal threw the website and I ended up emailing support.) it took a long time to get a reply from Jagex email support but I believe that also helped me. I just spouted bullshit in the email and then included all the info I could for recovery/verification purposes.

Hello jagex my account and email was stolen by a friend on another game.. he sent me a keylogger. I've been able to remove it and recover my email but need to recover my runescape account.
