The Chaotic maul is a melee weapon released with the Dungeoneering skill on 12 April 2010. It requires an attack level of 80 and a Dungeoneering level of 80 to wield. At least two million Dungeoneering experience is required to attain the 200,000 Tokens needed to purchase this item.

The chaotic maul currently has the highest strength and crush bonus for any weapon usable throughout RuneScape, with 155 and 167 respectively (the class 5 warhammer has a much higher crush bonus, but lower strength and is limited to Stealing Creation, therefore making the chaotic maul the most accurate conventional weapon in Runescape). The 155 strength bonus surpasses the previous record for highest strength bonus, held by the Godswords, by 23. While wearing the best strength-boosting gear, it is possible to achieve 205 strength bonus with this weapon. Under ideal circumstances, this weapon can hit up to 948 in Castle Wars, 862 against undead monsters (using salve amulet (e)) and 820 elsewhere.
