Hi guys, I'm a old player, and i stopped RS before the wild / GE / no free trade patch, and now i'm playing again but the things are coming back.

What i can say i that, back then, there was only ONE player who has all his skill maxed, yeah, remember ? Zezima. I don't know if he was legit, but what i can see now that there are 20+ people with all skill maxed and lots with multiple 99 skills. yes, maybe it's because RS is old, but i don't think all the guys with a lot of 99 skills have been playing since RS2 release.

Back in the old days, RS was HARD (you know, you add to smith your bar ONE by ONE (no smith-x option) and everything was like that, you had to make all your pot, bow, and everything by hand, one by one. Now the game has become so much easy, and much more people are using bots ans that's why so many people get multiple 99 skills, wich was really HARD nearly impossible to achieve before.

The same thing happened to the market (maybe because of the GE, i can't tell because i was not playing since the GE release). People are really RICH, they can afford everything and when they want. Before, when someone has a whip, or dragon chain/legs he was a god, some baddass player. Now everyone has got whip and other "expensive stuff". You had to work very hard to get something expensive. You had to work for month on a money making method to get enough coin to buy something really expensive that you really want.
I think everything is due to botting, i don't blame botters because i used to bot myself (using Scar back then) but the game became like that because of "us".

I really hope jagex will do something really strong against the bot, so maybe the game will become what it was before : hard and challenging.

So yeah, OP you're right and i agree with you. But think it won't change, we know that the game became like that because of us, but nobody will stop unless the game make us stop.

you only have to legit a few crafting or woodcutting levels to notice Nobody will take to you the full time, no community left and it feels like a 1 person game.

I feel like it's not bad to bot for your enjoyment (having a good account to play with.) BUT, making multiple accounts and just running tons of bots to make money isn't a good thing. You can make better money by working at Mcdonalds. I understand having your main account then a botted 2nd account for money and other things, but beyond that is ruining the game.
