If i was selling someone goods for $200 (gold) on PP and i took his ID how would i go on to prove that i paid him? (if he was to chargeback)

 

Just take screenshots or a video of you paying him.

 

@TheGuy Don't be fooled in to thinking having someone's ID will make you immune from chargeback.

Someone can still send you the Paypal via a VPN/VPS and that makes the ID invalid.

Unless you have a proper website that records their IP when they checkout, I personally wouldn't recommend accepting Paypal unless you trust them, and if you're asking for ID you clearly don't.

 

Whats the best thing i can do to prevent chargeback. Get him to confirm he has paid for it in the desc?

 

Agreed with Chloe. I took a guys ID not too long ago for an account trade and he ended up charging back. Lost everything even with his ID and proof that the transaction was successful.

Best advice is to deal with cryptocurrency like BTC. Impossible to chargeback.

 

There are no secure methods that a normal trader can do to combat a Paypal chargeback.
Friends & Family can be chargedback.
ID can be chargedback.
Notes in the payment can be chargedback.

I would suggest dealing with Cryptocurrencies only if you want to be 100% secure or sell to big sites who you know won't chargeback.
