Read a thread about 07

just seen a thread saying why 2007 will be a flop now obviously this person has never seen how popular private servers are and alot of people wont play private servers or pay for some of them as they dont trust them no jagex are bringing one out people will trust paying alot more and know there progress wont be wiped when the server is shut down

IT WILL NOT be aflop it is simple as the person even compared it to rsc..clearly never seen the complete difference between rsc an rs currently not many people went off current rs to play rsc because it was far to different and they did not grow up playing them years while a huge majority love rs07 an the pkin elements and now its jagex official it will be more popular then eoc rs for alonnnnnnnnnnnng time 67k people online currently that is nothing compared to rs07 when it comes out no chance it will flop

dont compare rsc to now as there totally different rs07 is the core of rs everyone liked it an will play hell out of it

 

I agree, there are too many people that want this to happen and will come back to '07 servers for the nostalgia and because I believe it was generally a better game back then. People need to stop thinking it's going to be a 'flop'.>_<

 

people who think its a flop never seen remember 2006scape how many people that had an people will be willing to pay because they feel abit safer with there details to jagex it will not be aflop once most people go back to normal rs i predict 100k+online

 

I remember when it was always at least 100K online, currently the vote is only on 100K and this is because people who have quit because of the EoC no longer have member accounts and are refusing to give Jagex their money due to their craft antics, after all they're company with a goal to make money so this mindset should be invalid.

 

agreed soon as the vote ends I PRAY ITS 250k thats the amount i want i dont care about f2p but the small development team will be amazing fixing bugs an improving the game abit its crucial 500k be awesome aswell but i dont care about 5£ amonth more anyone can ask for 1£ a day of there parents for 5days to pay for amonth fact i work but it still do able for kids

soon as poll ends THOUSANDS will flood back just to enjoy the game just refusing to pay for vote atm

 

The development team will be awesome, we don't want no bug-abusing. I would however enjoy the 500K just because I don't have to reach into my pocket. I guess what you're saying about asking for £1 a day is fair and should be easy for the community. Let's get them votes up!

 

Bolded one, how popular private servers are. Reasons why that's bad.

• People are dedicated to them
• Donators will be un-willing to leave
• Some private servers already have a stable economy
• They'd be throwing away what they've already gained

Bolded two, Currently there is 90k people online, which is a bit more than 67k, and I'd say that the majority of the top 10k people on highscores are active (as they're all p2p), will be dedicated, so that's a few you won't gain. Newer members who like the EoC and never experienced 07' are unlikely to play if they never pked, as they'd get frustrated with it.

Bolded three, RS07 is the core of RS everyone liked it blah blah, that's a load of shit. If anything, Classic and 06' were the cores of RS, most private servers are based around 2006, because it's purely better than 2007, as some updated from 2007 ruined the game's economy.


I personally think that it will flop with activity after a few months, but the market will be alive for a while.
