List of vouches since receiving TWC: Absolutely none. I don't have the money or time to spend on getting vouches. I feel that this is fairly understandable, I'm in school and work.
Reasoning/explanation for sketchy behaviour leading to TWC: I use my friends house near my campus to play games sometimes. He LEGITIMATELY sold me an account, and while it may have been stupid to vouch each other since there wasn't any real risk, it's a true story with no evidence to support it being false.... I don't understand how I can be restricted so heavily for something as insignificant as 1 vouch. I honestly don't know what else to say I guess I can't possibly prove to you that he's a real person.
Anything else you wish to say: Just hoping who ever reads this also has IRL friends who's house they go to and see how this could happen. The IP I'm at for this post (i dont know if it works this way) is my house. If there are records hopefully you can see that I typically log on here. Other than that I guess I'm relying on someone being reasonable and just deleting the vouch or something instead of ruining my chances of making any trades whatsoever.

 

Why didn't you mention he was your real life friend in your vouch?

 

Can i just do that and be done with this? I honestly didn't expect a god damn investigation, I just saw people with hundreds and hundreds of vouches, so I thought we should vouch each other (we actually did trade for a range tank). I still am not sure why this is such a huge deal, someone just delete his vouch from my thread and we can move on... right?...

We have this sticky in the vouches section clear as day to ensure that situations like this are prevented. Ultimately, it's difficult to prove when members are lying about Self-Vouching or when there is an actual scenario. If we aren't going to strictly enforce these rules, people will fake vouches and simply claim that it was someone else.

Not making a decision, but we do have these rules in place for a reason and they have been around for years.

 

Well apparently I missed that. Anyways, so can we just take the vouch away? I'm like 99% this has taken wayyyyy too long to get through for a 30 second fix. Won't happen again.

 

Ignorance of our rules is not an excuse. I'm sorry but you'll need to dispute your TWC down the line after obtaining some vouches to show your trustworthiness.

 

Just for the record, I think there's truth to his story. Regardless he needs some vouches to prove his trustworthiness.
