Any DarkBasicpro, Pros On Sythe?

i sorta need someone who would be willing to teach me the basics of this programming language. i got it as a gift because it's sort of what im interested in. i also go a guide that soem nerd made as a gift too, but it's the shits. could anyone help me?

p.s. you might wanna know what i want to do with it, i just want to make simple games, like made Tower Defense ones or anything like that. Maybe later on i'd try to make an mmorpg.

I'm working with it in my game design class. It's almost so simple that it's hurting my brain. The lack of discipline and structure in the language is so primitive that I overthink how to use a function.

For example: I tried using the && operator for a conditional IF statement. It was like, If a# > 1 && (KeyDOWN() == 0), and it didn't take it. Syntax error. Turns out, && in Darkbasic is just "AND". Also, the == operator doesn't exist. You just use =. In most languages, = is only used to define a variable. In Darkbasic, it's used to define variables AND in conditionals. Odd. Oh well.
