Priest Help.

So I have a Draenei Priest i recently made. It's currently level 14 and on Bloodmyst Isle leveling up. I'm new to priests and made it because I've never tried before and I wanted to try something new. I happened to love them and they're definitely one of my favorite classes.

I'd like to know, for leveling, what's the best talents, weapons, strategies, etc for leveling? 1h Maces or Staff? What can I put in the Off-hand? Holy talents? Shadow?

Please tell me anything.

 

Level with Shadow.
Grab the Emberstone staff at lvl 18 and the gravestone scepter as a wand in your lvl 20s.
My leveling rotation was something like; Shield - Mind Blast - Shadow Wordain - Wand.
With the spirit tap talent your mana regen is unbelievably amazing fast.

You can also level as Disc or Holy and do random dungeons all the way thats what im doing on my drood because questing blows.

 

I would say that Shadow is the best spec for leveling, as stated above, emberstone is a GREAT staff to have. I would also stay staff in general is the way to go as good offhands are hard to obtain for "current" levels. It's easier to find a good staff than a 1h/offhand combo

 

Prepare for the suck. Drinking every 3 pulls until you get to Outland is the norm. After that, it's like night and day. No oom, mobs die quickly, etc.

 

I thought you were lvling it with RaF? Or is that a character that you use when your partner isn't on?

 

Disc priest for leveling? That's new..

 

Disc leveling? Holy or shadow is much better imo.

Thought leveling a disc was whacked.

I was gonna start leveling one up before my hunter awhile back, I read a bit up on the forums and at that time (2-3 months ago) holy was the go.

 

What realm?

 

I haven't read every response, but level as holy until shadowform.

 

Then shadow?

 

Ignore people that say Discipline is as viable for Shadow when leveling. It isn't.
Dual spec discipline and shadow for easier dungeon finder access, though. Staff/1h doesn't make any real difference, also.

 

Trust me from experience - priests SUCK for leveling. Just try to stick with shadow DPS and try to maintain a good amount of mana unless you want to be drinking every two fights.

 

I plan to use the dungeon finder as a healer the majority of the time to level. Seems a bit easier.

It's not easy to level. I'll give you advice - just spec Disc once you hit 60 and have your share of Outland gear and do dungeons. Fast queues and great XP.

 

Yes, go shadow when you get shadowform and be holy before then. And they're very right... priest leveling sucks. I leveled as disc with a frost mage to 80.

Having 2 different healing specs (and a fun dps spec) is seriously underrated. All of the hardships are completely worth it.

 

I said that he can level using discipline if he does random dungeons all the way up. I like doing that because i just hate questing.

 

I just healed on mine until fourty and then i bought dual and grinded when not in dungeons. Pretty easy and fun.
